WTF is this really AI battle ?!?!!??!? This Sekiro AI battle could easily beat so many actual gameplay of other games The Fight go on like professional fight match. I am not hilighting since the whole fight is hilight it's self but i'll describe the fight on how "real and professional" it is. 0:22 : warming up 0:34 : Genny losing his temper and step up the battle while Isshin still calm and keep his perfect posture 0:37 : the rush cost genny his turn and Isshin earn his tempo and momentum 0:55 : Isshin rushing to keep pressure 0:59 : until he use his technique that Genny prepared for, Which lead to 1:06 : Genny perfect set up for executions of his lighting strike 1:15 : Isshin spacing to reposition and flame strike Genny in perfect distance. regain momentum and put Genny on his back foot 1:49 : after barrange of Isshin's Strike, Genny see and capitalize on the opening. result in 1:57 : Point Blank release full draw arrow 2:00 : Getting up and regaining his focus, Isshin approch with guard piercing strike. Eventhough Genny can block it's all, he still suffer it's damage. 2:20 : after constanly all-out both side need some breath and refocus. 2:29 : after rushing in, Isshin perform set up lead Genny in to jump attack which is exactly what Isshin wanted him to do. 2:33 : From this point Genny also change his strategy in to full agression, but Isshin cold mine can take all of Genny strikes with ease 2:54 : Until he focus to much on coutering, Isshin use the technique that Genny been training to counter once again and he pay for it. 3:02 : Genny agression while fierce and deadly, he never lose his discipline doing so. Not only gain him Isshin first red orb, but sill very control that he dont fall for Isshin wake up strike. After Isshin is in Stage 2, you can really see that Genny turn into more defensive playstyle, he know that Isshin have range and strike moves adventage. while he want to play turtle Ishhin also have guard piercing strike, forcing Genny to strike from lower ground. From tactical factors Gennichiro get demolish as it's should be. Until. 5:53 : Genny also reach his Stage 2, with his even more powerfull attacks. the family finally in their equal ground with thier last form. 6:13 : Rightnow Isshin know that his wind technique aka piercing strike is his wining card. Set up into set up, Combo after combo. 6:34 : Genny heavily injured before his first chance to standing up. Trying his best to get some score back. he keep on pressuring isshin in close range to prevent him from windup wind technique 6:40 : After ineffectively close strikes Genny try to diverse his attack aiming to create hesitation on Isshin defence 6:42 : Attemp fail. lose his turn, giveaway Isshin the momentum of te fight. 6:58 : after perfect defence, Genny eat an attacks knowing he's after. he perform high risk trade but with perfect execution of high reward moves, he nailed it. 7:10 : knowing Genny is catching up, Isshin try to rush in and close the fight. But Genny already regain his tempo and confidence. The two trading blows create epic crash. 7:45 : Until Ishhin try something different hoping it's will catch Genny off guard. 7:48 : Yet it's another technique that Genny dedicated his life training. Lighting Reveral (FROM NPC FIGHT?!?!) is the cost for Ishhin underestimation. 7:52 : But the exhaustion of such advance technique cost Genny enough time for Isshin to gain his winning condition. Striking Wind attacks The fight go on in Isshin Favour, Even though Genny is very skilled, Isshin tactical adventage is too much to pass through. 9:23 : Isshin perform perfect set up put Genny into most disadventage range and finish him off with the most epic and honourable way
What I find cool about this particular fight. Is it looks like Genichiro is simply doing his best to "weather" the attacks coming from Isshin. In particular when Isshin does his windblade strikes and Genichiro simply is forced back. Truly it takes someone who is similarly aggressive and more powerful like Owl to actually push Isshin around and box him in, let alone have any control over the fight. Even then winning isn't a guarantee at that point. Also,I love the rage that Isshin deals out after 7:40. The way he acted there was like he was legitimately pissed that Genichiro pulled that off.
2:16 Bruh the break in action for the stare down and side walking combined with the music swelling is pure badassery. And then the very moment the action gets started again it’s lighting quick and decisive. Because after that point the fight gets real serious.
this fight made me appreciate more on how the ai is programmed. Rather than forcing a automatic block/deflect command when the entity is hit, they attempt to block incoming attacks despite some of them not landing
This was honestly amazing. The intricacies of the fight, the dodges, the counters, the interrupts. So many incredible moments. Thanks to the modding community for making this possible, and thanks to the creators of Sekiro for bringing this game to the world, for we are blessed to experience some of the best cinematic combat in video game history.
Phase 1 was top 5 fight scenes of all time. Then Isshin just clowned on Gennyboy with Dragon Flash cheese. Then Phase 3 vs Phase 3 was pure carnage, neither side letting up for even an instant. You could feel their desperation to finish it near the end. I particularly loved how Isshin was at first only defending, then countering each move perfectly. But then Genichiro also pulled a counter by jumping over the fire sweep and chaining bow and sword attacks perfectly to close the first round. Just epic.

What I like about this battle especially compared to the others is the ingame soundtrack being worked in. Adds a real epic feel that I wish the other fights had.
Damn, this was a surprisingly good battle to watch... things got INTENSE towards the end too, I was like "Fight Composers, take note!" Also love how the game DEVs include EVERY buff/debuff on nearly EVERY character... the Shock stun, burn abnormality, etc... even if there's zero chance that some characters can suffer these debuffs, they often put them into the character builds just because Modders will showcase it when more content comes out... games like these THRIVE with Modder support, so it's awesome to see this played out. Well made content man.
Well damn! The AI and combat system works so well that AI battles like these actually play out nicely! Of course, this wouldn't be possible without modding, but still! It speaks to the quality of Sekiro's combat.
Im noticing so much stuff watching them fight it's like both AIs are actually calculating what the other will do genichiro jumped a fire stomp into multiple slashes but the next time he jumped isshin read it and hit him with a simple upward slash to knock him down and then got off a whole combo this shi is amazing I'm gonna play sekiro again im itching to get back in now tbh it's highly underrated it deserved game of the year when it came out in my opinion. Hands down best combat I've ever experienced

Phase 2 Isshin was a beast. Killed 2 Genichiro bars alone and took out a quarter of the other bar.
