I went to listen to his flute album. I listened to it, but then I noticed his feature with Killer Mike back in 2023 and after listening to that I told myself, he still got something to say. I felt and still feel he can conjure up something through Hip hop. People are going to relate, just speak about life. I know he still got some Rhymes in his mind. Much Love to 3k and a 9 second applause for you both 👏🏿 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
You made me stop your Jason interview to jump on this 😂. I was waiting for you to do a video on this. Seriously, the stories this man could tell to this day. Our greats are killing it this year. That's gotta inspire him.
Big Boi's modern work is just as good as ever NGL. I hope Dre comes back, because while an OutKast return might be super unlikely, there is still one half of OutKast still rapping
Yeah, I feel too many take Big Boi for granted. They will pretend to be into an avant garde ambient instrumental flute album because Andre is attached to it, yet pretend that Big Boi's prolific work outside of Outkast does not exist.
Love 3K...but lets get real for a second. Out of 3K's whole body of work, how many of them are just him solo barring out without him singing or playing instruments? 'Day in the Life of Andre Benjamin' and what else? Help me out. Because anyone that calls that man a GOAT has to realize it aint even in him to make a solo album barring out. He NEEDS features. Him coming out and saying Dot and Drake could help him make a nice rap album is telling. What the eff about Big Boi? Smh
@@dn30001 I think Andre could handle a solo album but generally he seems to struggle with the confidence to do so. No hate but I do think he could make something work like Love Below. But then again, that was 20 years ago now, so idk.
@neonthunder3261 In terms of spitting and barring out, he pretty much admitted that he needs to feed off of another energy source to for that output. Recent interview he made mention that he thinks K Dot and Drake could "help" him put out a dope spitting project. It made sense to me after that. Because I immediately thought....Big Boi could help too lol. But....he can put out 45 projects like the Love Below probably.
The love below is more than a hip hop album. In my eyes its high art, and art has no age limits. Did you see flute guy at the game awards? He was the star of /the whole show...would love to see him and 3 stacks collab!
I consider it the LAST Hip Hop album of the Golden Age of Hip Hop. Hip Hop and Rap culture died immediately after that album came out. The Black Eyed Peas kicked out the Black girl for Fergie, and rap ended. Enter Drake era mumblecore.
🧢. There was only ONE track on there where he barred out without singing or playing instruments. It aint in him to make a hip-hop album with bars. Never was.
Andre 3000 was always ahead of his time in music and fashion. I’ve missed his contributions to music in general over the last decade or so. He was so original in personality and his influence in pushing the culture forward was greatly missed. I loved his flute album and would love to see him come back in any way he felt comfortable and true to himself. He’s always b so K no Great content as always.
3000 is probably one of the few artist that could feature on Kendrick or Drakes track and go to the other wanting to do a collab and not get turned away for working with the OP.
Remember when Andre was disappointed in ‘’life of the party’’ getting leaked and not getting a proper release and it turned out that Drake leaked it to be spiteful towards Kanye smh
I just rescheduled my colonoscopy appointment today! I think I wouldn’t have forgotten to do my bloodwork resulting in the procedure’s postponement if he was waxing poetic about them. Lol what synchronicity.
Respect to whatever he decides but.. Honestly, now would be *such* an amazing time for him to return. What with the ‘shift’ that’s happening- seems like it’s all about going back to/honoring the roots+ core tenets while still pushing the art/culture forward. I can definitely see someone as innovative and creative as Andre fitting (also yes please hang out with Kendrick, fuckin dream collab right there)
Snoop literally dropped an album today. I’m glad Andre’s peers and predecessors rejected the “too old” narrative. How do you know what’s possible if you don’t try? Our time is finite and if you want to breakdance until you are 99, do it! In so many ways, when I hear 3 Stacks words, I think back to his story about Prince talking to him: Andre really doesn’t understand how remarkable he is. How necessary his voice and art are. Idc if he makes a rap album or not, I just hope he trusts himself more and continue to make whatever moves him
Andre and Tupac have had the most impact on my life as rappers. The way they craft their stories pushed my writing. If I ever got a new Andre album (or OutKast) I would be a very happy man! I wish I could hear what a 50 year old Tupac would be rapping about, even though I think he would be in politics or community activism if he had lived.
Rhyming is like a bug u cant really get rid of…one will decide *i dont wanna rhyme anymore* until the bug bites…then ideas start coming outa nowhere….Andre will be back rhyming i just know it 🙏🏽💥
Three Stacks has one of the best 'minds' when it comes to composing lyrics, telling a story and a unique delivery... definitely a GOAT...Plus, he owes his label an album...its a Win -Win! 🗣️🎶🔥😢
Dawg, his verse on scientists and Engineers was god-tier rapping. His flow was immaculate. What makes him think we dont't want a whole album of just THAT
I'm surprised Andre hasn't reached out to qtip to get produced by him. But it would be really interesting if he worked with him again after the last time album, or is he's looking for the new producers someone like sounwave, knxwledge, or even something new and live from the roots or terrace Martin. There's just so much out there waiting for Andre to touch and I hope he finds the courage and confidence to believe his voice is worthy of a solo rap project
what I find interesting is that 3stacks has never released an album past the age of 30, with all the Outkast projects he was quite young. Would be great to hear an older perspective on a rap album
3000 can't see how much Outkast grew and changed over time from his perspective on that journey. The magic was that is was always new and evolving. (Even if it took time for the audience to grow with the music sometimes). It wasn't the subject matter as much as the delivery that kept people paying attention as it grew. In fact along the way it really just expanded the audience. People are not wanting that one more Outkast album in search of what it was before. They want to see where it landed at and what its doing today. And these next generations could really use the last chapter of the story of how to take that ride to fame to a successful conclusion. It may not seem like it but they do want the cool OG perspective from those that actually did it. But people forget he was still in HS when they blew up so, I understand his vantage-point is going to be different than so many out there on being in the entertainment industry. And the grind needed to support a successful album is no joke when you get used to a life of leisure. Still the solo or Outkast album would do numbers and be appreciated in what ever form it might take.
What upsets me about Andre is he talks like people only want to listen to future well let him know that him and future are both in my top 5 bro we love all good music
I wonder if the downfall of many music industry creeps is what’s reving 3k’s engines again. I can imagine an empathetic guy like him really struggling to interact with Diddy and people he controlled.
Omg. Andre is so adhd with that comment about how mastering something becomes boring lol~ I recognize my tribe anywhere😂 as I mature and now moved out of the survival part of life, I’m finding the same thing. The intensity of survival or survival mind used to have me grinding… and now I’m like, meh, I’ll just explore lol
Damn 3stacks literally perfected rapping that he got bored is a crazy way of thinking about it, but I can also see and understand that from someone so creative
What a wonderful and thoughtful interview. All the best to Andre 3000! P.S. I heard he is obligated to one more rap album because the instrumental won't count.
The part about joking on each other is one of my takeaways from this year’s big rap battle- you can tell Aubrey didn’t have the same sort of experience of getting clowned on by peers.
Keeping it 💯- if he can squeeze it in before the year ends, then 2024 will be one of the most historic years in the game of all time. We were well-fed for 8.5 months straight!!!!
After hearing that fire ass Snoop album, Im ready for an Andre album, no more excuses, Cube dropped, Snoop dropped Em dropped, etc. i wanna hear Andre on Dre beat featuring Snoop and Em. Andre Benjamin Presents: 3000 and Friends, could be a compilation album of where he gets some dope beats and just have other artists on it and just do a verse until he feel comfortable, like a Kendrick, Lupe, Talib Kwali, Yasin Bey, Common, Future, Lil Baby, LL Cool J, Eminem, Big Boi, Killer Mike, etc.
I think a Kendrick Lamar Andre 3000 collab would be fantastic. I think it sounds like 3 Stacks will probably change his tone when he's asked in the future about coming back to rap. If I am being completely honest though, it doesn't sound like he's truly thinking of coming back. It really sounds like his heart and soul need to be in to whatever art he is creating. Frankly, I don't know that I'd want him to create rap music without those things either.
We need a true rap solo album from him. If he gets to be in the goat conversation then we have to put Phife Dawg in that conversation. Love below is not enough rap. Andre gets a lot of grace that he lost with me over the last few years. He’s slowly turning the conversation but I want a project not interviews.
I write pretty much the same way. There's always a certain portion that I actually do write down on paper but the rest is usually fleshed out or completed even, in my head. Ironically or un-ironically, while I'm out walking.
Nas set the bar so high with his KD/Magic Run. Lets not forget, these dudes are all competitive so its gonna be hard to match or even come close to what Nas did.
If he collaborates with Kendrick I might pass out due to excitement!
He already did the song just isn't released or finished
What a meat munch
Andre 3000 with Dr Dre on production would break the internet featuring Big Boi.

I won't say he opened the lane. But, his recent run is definitely worthy of all respect. 6 amazing albums in 2 years is crazy.
I absolutely agree. It’s crazy how good Nas is at setting trends. Seriously.

Andre's the type to deliberately make a bad rap album to make people shut up about him rapping again.
