Nice one Tom, when you fast forward the speech sounds like the fish men off Stingray, the Gerry Anderson series from years ago (before your time no doubt) standby for action, any thing can happen in the next half hour, 😂 very apt👍
That mixer you changed Tom , I had a similar straight swap , slackened thd nuts off , pipes were stuck In so gave the mixer a tap to knock it off, one pipe came out and dropped down and fell out completely. Turned out it had a push fit elbow above the ceiling, when it dropped it came out . Problem was it was a plasterboard ceiling with no access. So a simple job cost me money getting the ceiling repaired . Keep plodding along.
It happens mate, I changed a sink the other week and disturbed an old boss in tiled bathroom, ended up having to take the tiles off, like you say just keep plodding along, have a great weekend 👍
Interesting jobbing day Tom, I’ve been changing 5 rads today for a neighbour, never short of friends when your a plumber, thing is I left the trade 29 years ago, but you never lose it, quite enjoyed it actually, take care Tom and have a great weekend 🚽👍
@@PlumbLikeTom It is Tom, friends and family mostly , I enjoyed my time as a plumber, it’s a great trade to have, and as my old boss said when I left “ no one can take your hands off you” how true he was 👍
Great video as always Tom . I am an Electrician by trade have been for 44 years but love watching your vids have learned so much from them . Keep up the good work mate 👍🏼
Hi Tom, a nice selection of jobs for you there, with not too much stress I hope. It’s great to see you on jobs that didn’t give you too much aggravation. Have a great weekend and as always take care Tom. 👍👍👍
That is true, I've come across a few smart ones where this hasn't been a feature, it does make life easy though, thanks for watching, have a great weekend 👍
Those valves in the near the end I think they might be pegker but they are total rubbish they always cease and then round off they tiny little slotted screw! Levers all the way bud! Another interesting vid mate good luck !
It's a monument olive splitter, I got that one when I first started, they are a bit expensive and you need a different size one for 22mm but they certainly work, thanks for watching as always Gary
Thank god you put in lever valves. I hate those leaky screw valves. And quick question.... if a system kept switching on both heating and hot water when only one was selected, what do you reckon is the most likely culprit? Controller, valve or what? Cheers mate, always enjoy your videos :)
I'm not a hundred percent sure on the answer, I was always told plumbers could do like for like replacements as long as we don't add to a circuit and are working from a spur. All plumbers I know will change valves on heating systems and even wire their own boilers as long as it's coming from a pre existing spur, thanks for watching
The boiler manufactures should be contacting the customers to pay the money back directly to them, my only annoyance with that is some jobs got priced last year and the installers had to stand the cost, it doesn't make sense, thanks for watching 👍
I dont see why u absorbed the charge on ur first 2 installs tom, nobody could have foreseen, like airlines have the fuel surcharge in the small print, sometimes ur too honest for ur own good. These old proper ballofixs were far superior to what we havd now a 3mm allen key and would have turned no problem, still get them but price is rediculous
Turns out there's a lift there...🤣🤣🤣🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ ffs ey ! 🤟 Legend lad !
That scale you deal with is insane, glad I live oop north lol
Thanks for watching as always Tom, have a great weekend

Hi Tom, a nice selection of jobs for you there, with not too much stress I hope.
It’s great to see you on jobs that didn’t give you too much aggravation.
Have a great weekend and as always take care Tom. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, it is nice sometimes to get some easy jobs done, i like the challenging ones though
on smart meters you select load when in service mode (press 0 4 times) and get an instant gas rate
That is true, I've come across a few smart ones where this hasn't been a feature, it does make life easy though, thanks for watching, have a great weekend 👍

Agree slotted screw valves need binning
Lever valves are worth the extra on some jobs, service valves so have a time and a place though, thanks for watching as always 👍
Thats because ur meant to use a 3mm allen key, far better than the rubbish we get now
Another good one Tom👍. You appear to be less stressed lately .jobbing about plumbing is doing you good. 😂😂😂
Thanks for the support as always Colin, I would like a couple of bigger jobs on the go as well, I'm pricing plenty, have a great weekend 👍
Great video again Tom , Im always trying to work out what you are saying in the speeded up bits but I dont speak Clingon!
Thanks for the support as always Chris, I'm probably just talking rubbish when I sped up the video, have a great weekend
Another good video Tom
Thanks for the support as always Brian, hope you have a great weekend 👍
Nice work mate 👍, what tool did you use to remove the olives on the mixer shower pipe work 🤔
It's a monument olive splitter, I got that one when I first started, they are a bit expensive and you need a different size one for 22mm but they certainly work, thanks for watching as always Gary
Hi Tom, the shower valve you replaced at 11:09 could you tell me the make as I'm looking for the exact same thing. Thanks.
It is a Bristan sonique, they are great because you can alter the pipe centres if the old shower isn't set at 150mm, thanks for watching
Thank god you put in lever valves. I hate those leaky screw valves. And quick question.... if a system kept switching on both heating and hot water when only one was selected, what do you reckon is the most likely culprit? Controller, valve or what? Cheers mate, always enjoy your videos :)
Most likely the 3 port will be sharing, thanks for watching, have a great weekend 👍
Do you need any electrical qualifications for the electrics you disconnect/reconnect?

I didn't know about the payment being paid back. Thanks for letting me know. It's a great video again, thanks.

600000 tons of co2? Maybe this is when they realise 80% of engineers are not doing a gas rate. 😂😂
I did think that, thanks for watching as always Ollie, hope you have a great weekend 👍
Tom,when you are fast forward and talking you sound like a chipmunk, all ways watch the vids great stuff.🍺👍🇬🇧✅
Thanks for the support mate, hope you have a great weekend 👍
Did you work for a company who did comercial and domestic?
I started with a company that did both, I used to do way bigger jobs than I do now, when I was 17 I was out fitting plant rooms on my own
9:25 Thought Chaka Khan was gunna start playing!😅
Ha, thanks for watching mate
Was it me mate or was that shower 90 bend almost flattened hahaha! Loving the vids
4:57 *
It was looking a bit flat, thanks for watching as always mate 👍
Do you get these jobs direct or through a 3rd party ?
They come direct, thanks for watching as always Steve, have a great weekend 👍
Careful, keep working so hard and you'll be rich like Elon Musk
Thanks for the support as always mate
