Looks nice. Didnt really get a feel for how it came together with the existing house. Was trying to see whether it was accessible through the main living space as well as its own separate entrance.

How is added squre footage recorded? What if the in law suite is above an detached garage with permit and certificate of occypancy in place, will the one bath be reflated on the public record? Tks!
According to our local codes, the detached garage would be redefined as a carriage house once the living space and bathroom were added. The public record would then state that there was a home and a carriage house on the property. We hope that this answered your question - thanks for watching!

Apparently not - yeah, get the idea he will just have ‘away’ space but not like an independent space. All meals, snacks, and morning coffee are back inside main house. Which would work for some.
Opps just noticed this is not recent… oh well, hope it works for them! Lovely area for it.
