    Mine is stock with wheels/tires. Have PP struts/shocks, BMR minimal drop springs, BMR rear cradle lockout kit waiting to go on. Also, have Racestar 17" wheels wainting for tires for the track. Future mods will be E85 tune and Kooks long tube headers. Probably wait till black Friday to order those. Won't get a CAI like a JLT because
    I don't want a hot air intake that kills power unless roll racing and gives false power on the dyno with the hood up. Probably stay stock with the air box or will do a closed air box kit.

    Have the same setup just w out the lth and a week later after adding all the things car started to make a rattle noise underneath the engine bay and car completely died off. Accessory mode is still useable just that the car won’t crank. Ford approved the new engine but they still haven’t seen what was the failure. Hopefully the e85 vmp tune didn’t cause this. Ran threw 3 full tanks of e85 aswell.

    • @MustangLifestyleTV
      @MustangLifestyleTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Some of the earlier Gen 3 engines are known for dropping a valve. Usually happens within the first 1,000 miles but could happen later. I doubt a tune from anyone would cause a failure like that. Of course when you get it back data log the car and send it to vmp to verify.

    • @SwingingInJoggers
      @SwingingInJoggers 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can rev the 18s too 8k no problem if you have it tuned properly and having a ported 18+ manifold helps a ton or if you used the cobra jet manifold there has been a bunch of people able to rev to 8500 rpm but it is a smart preventive mod option to upgrade your oil pump gear if you're gonna rev that high very often or even if you're doing any road course style racing especially but if just doing 1/8th and 1/4 mile racing it's not that big of a issue if you stay stock oil pump gear

    • @SwingingInJoggers
      @SwingingInJoggers 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also the whole thing people have been saying how the stock gear is a weak part are the people who have either watched videos or done this stupid ass "drop test" where they drop the gear from like 4ft-6ft and I say it's a dumb test simply because the oil pump gear is never ever going to see enough stress to be equal with that test. A guy was running 1200hp on his stock factory sealed 2018 5.0 for a long time making a couple thousand miles worth of 1/8th mile and even 1/4 mile passes and like 15kor20k miles from normal driving and when he finally opened the engine up his oil pump gear was completely fine no cracks just a couple of tiny stress marks but no cracks and he was running 1200 crank hp soooo running 800-900 crank hp with stock OPG wouldn't be something that would cause no where near as much concern these other people are having when they only push 700-750 crank hp lmao send that shit especially if you know your local dealer will still honor your warranty even if you have full bolt on mods the ford dealer in florence south Carolina never voids warranty just because you have full bolt ons, unless you have a supercharger,turbo etc or opened the engine for any reason like different cams etc then they'll still cover warranty no problem the owner likes to mod his personals cars aswell so he definitely understands

    What's the e85 tune worth over 93 octane? Also back in the long runner cobra intake days of the original 5.0 we thought 350-360rwtq was a really high number out of 302 cubic inches. The gen 3 coyotes are getting over 400rwtq out of the same displacement and over 430rwtq with e85! Please comment.

    • @guthrie_1
      @guthrie_1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe 15 to 20 peak to peak if it’s naturally aspirated. You’ll see more under the curve.

    • @dennisrobinson8008
      @dennisrobinson8008 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, so doing the math. Most of those long runner 350-360rwtq original 5.0 combos had TFS heads and the cobra or GT40 intake. The compression was 9.5:1 with an aluminum head. So if they were running 12:1 back then - each pt of compression is worth approx 4% torque, so 12-9.5=2.5, 2.5*4=10%. So the 350-360 rwtq on 9.5:1 would've been 380-395rwtq with 12:1.... So it's very close and shows how crucial the compression is on a N/A vehicle. BTW, I never said the cobra/gt40 was the best combo it was a common combo, everyone knows those intakes limited power to under 6000 rpm.

    • @guthrie_1
      @guthrie_1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dennisrobinson8008 Yes high compression is the way to go whether you go NA or boosted.
      It means you need less boost to make the same power. Lower boost means lower boost air temps, which means more potential for making power, and more knock prevention.

      @@williamklaproth85 OK then your comment should’ve said “I don’t understand how you are getting 8000 RPMs efficiently with just that cold air intake, and headers”.
      If you look at a dyno graph, you will see that it does. It moves your power band to the right. The stock 18’ manifold flows extremely well. Every restriction you remove will result in a bit more top end.

      Moe Slide No bro you’re wrong by far. FBO 15-17 GT make 455-460 whp MAX after every single NA mod you can think of is done to the car. This car made 500whp basically with a tune intake and headers. If he ports the manifold and gets a larger throttle etc you can get the 18-19 up to almost 520whp which is insane. FBO vs FBO it’s a 45-60hp difference and paired with the 10 speed it’s no competition for 11-17 cars
