Yes Chica, they can. However, when they’re grown taller than 4 feet tall, they have a tendency to get bare at the bottom, so plan on a skirt plant below if your goal is to keep them a large buffer like Clusia.
Gorgeous! I’m in Oviedo, right outside of Orlando. I’ve bee trying to find some tall foxtails. Do you have a source that you recommend?
I am struggling on where to place my palms in my front yard. Do you have certain guidelines you follow to get the balance right?
I have the same issue. I have cleared everything and am kind of in a state of paralysis because of the palm placement uncertainty
That can be tough. If it’s a front yard I have a tendency to use the corner roof lines to put my big palms on. I go over a little bit of this in my levels videos. However I’ll try to do a video on that, explaining why I chose to put the palms where I put them.
Do dwarf elephant ears keep spreading or stop at some point? And is there an gigant elephant ear that likes full sun? ☀️
Yes they widen out to 4ft however it’s pretty easy to keep them tighter by pruning the old leaves off. Unfortunately, all the large elephant years that I’ve encountered like filtered light they tend to burn the edges with more sun than that.
