Never trust a bus driver with a expired pilot’s license and cocain possession on him. 🤨Oh my goodness, we have two of the greatest guitarists dead ( Randy Rhodes and Eddy Van Halen), loved Randy and adore the Osborne’s to this day! Crazy train is my life’s anthem!😂😂😂😂😂
I REMEMBER WHEN THAT HAPPENED WHAT A DAM SHAME IT WAS. RANDY RHODES MOTHER WAS A CLASSICAL MUSIC TEACHER AND EVERYTIME RANDY RHODES WAS IN TOWN FOR A CONCERT HE WOULD GO FIND A MUSIC SCHOOL THAT TAUGHT CLASSICAL MUSIC AND HE WOULD LEARN CLASSICAL GUITAR CHORDS.
Jordan, back when my husband and I were dating, we used to go to the Starwood nightclub in West Hollywood almost every night. At that time Quiet Riot was the house band. I remember seeing Randy with his red & white polka dotted guitar and matching bow tie.......
Thank you, Jordan.. This still breaks my heart.. I'm in Tampa, and I remember seeing this on the local news.. I was 11, and remember being so shocked over something so avoidable..
If I was a Musician I would ABSOLUTELY stay clear of airplanes and flying. The talented folks lost to crashes is so sad.....Hope your enjoying your Florida trip Jordan. Have a Merry Christmas 🎅🎄☃️
Yes...this was very sad, Jordan. I love the song Crazy Train and will appreciate the song even more. I was thinking how terrified Randy must have been with the pilot doing all those dangerous stunts.
I had a feeling this was going to be one of your stops in FLA. I felt the same way you did when I visited a few years back. Randy is still my favorite musician to this day!!!
One could see what a fan you were and how visiting here affected you. To close with a walk in that beautiful park was renewing. Life is to be cherished while here and lovingly remembered when gone. Blessings to you.
No bigger Randy Rhoads fan on this planet than me. He was a true musical genius, I say no more. I’ve been listening to Randy since I was 11/12 years old. He died when I was 13. I still hear stuff in headphones to this day almost 40 years later that just blows my mind. Great video thank you, very sad 😞 But thank you. Very well done! People like YOU will keep Randy alive forever! !!! Thank you.
I have a special place in my heart for Randy Rhoads. One of the best to ever pick up the guitar. Thank you Jordan. This made my day. Been listening to Randy all day since watching your vlog. Keep up the great work! Love all that you do.
I share Randys birthday so I enjoyed listening to his tunes while having a shot or 2 of jack he was an amazing and gifted person I wish we could have seen all his potential
Glad you told the whole story on Randy Rhodas plane crash that I didn't know. What a tragic and irresponsible ending for not only Randy but the other passengers.
Thanks Mr. Jordan. Unspeakably sad. I remember hearing about the crash from a girl, when we were in English class. I was 16, then. Yea, FL is so beautiful! I love the Egrets, clean air, and, of course, the palm trees! 🌴
I thought you were talking about Leeward air ranch… My parents had a house built out there many years ago where John Travolta has property… Very sad story… Absolutely love your videos! Thanks for bringing us along and showing us all the places that Many of us will never have the opportunity to see
I still miss Randy to this day. I remember this tragedy . I was 10 years old and had seen the story on " Good Morning, America". At just 25-years-old, Randy was just too young to be taken away so soon. May his legacy continues forever. #stillmissin'urandy
Thanks for doing this tribute to Randy's last moments. I just recently watched the video you did at Musonia with Kelle. I always wondered how he feels now as sort of the gatekeeper to all things Randy. I knew they hadn't had the best relationship for years but was glad when he said they made up in the last two months Randy was alive. It must weigh on him somewhat to always get asked about Randy but it's cool that he's doing what he can to keep Randy's memory alive. That was kind of heartbreaking to see though as it was his birthday yesterday. Very bittersweet!! There was metal before Randy then metal after Randy. He completely changed the way metal was played and is still influencing countless gtr players. Happy birthday up in heaven Randy 😇💔✌️💜🙏
Gate was open and unlocked , because you were destined to do this Vlog!!! Thank you !🙏🏻 because of your other Randy Rhodes Vlogs, we went to see Randys grave in person ❤️❤️
I felt that way honestly.. I couldn't believe gates just kept being open, thats why I started filming them.. I was very worried I wouldn't be able.to get in, and this was one I really felt passionate about seeing and feeling.. I had the weirdest feeling the whole time.. like randy was in the car beside me or something.. unlike anything I've ever felt before.
@@DazewithJordantheLion that’s so incredible! You were in tune with spirit in that moment & I feel Randy was acknowledging his presence to you as gratitude in helping keep his spirit alive! That’s beautiful 💕
Such a tragedy of how Randy Rhoades was killed. He had such a God given talent for the guitar. So sad. Thank you, Jordan for sharing with us where the tragedy happened and for ending the vlog on a little lighter note. God rest his soul. God continue blessing you.
Great vlog Jordan. Very sad that a gifted musician died due to the pilot not only being high but also showing off. *If you haven't made your mind up on where to move, I think you should consider Florida. There is so much to see, do, and vlog about.
I just got back from spending a week in central Florida. Almost stepped on an alligator that was laying on a trail that I was walking on. It was narrow and next to the water. There was also an alligator in the ditch in front of the motel. I saw about a dozen of them this week.
I live about 25 minutes from there in Ocala, FL. I loved Randy Rhoads. Have driven by there many times over the years and always think of Randy whenever I am in the area.
I have a big tattoo of Randy on my back playing his Les Paul, I got to show Randy’s brother Kelle & sister Kathy when I met them. It was an honor to say the least!
Wonderful tribute Jordan, Man he was just a kid, such a sad story. The gardens were stunning I love the colour of the ducks feathers . I love the Spanish Moss hanging from the trees its spooky Thank you Jordan for all your hard work. The guy fishing has balls RIP Randy
Great blog and as always "Well Done ", I always enjoy the history you share with us. Randy Rhoads was very talented. Good to talk about him again. Have a safe trip !!!!
I was 9 when Randy died, thanks for sharing that Jordan as Randy was a one of a kind, who was truly a musical genius who accomplished so much in his short 25 years. Just imagine what he would have done for music had that not happened.
What a sad ending to a great talent. This is truly a fitting tribute for Randy's 64th birthday. Kind of weird that you had such easy access to the estate. Almost like you were meant to vlog it. The little park you took us to afterwards was awesome (alligators ? and all) Thank you, Jordan!
I agree Jordan, there have been many musical tragedies over time but, for me, Randy dying is the most tragic. I’ve sat and wondered many times what other music he could (and would) have made in his life that we will never get to hear. Very sad. Great video, take care 👍🏻
I used to see Both Van Halen & Quiet Riot at Gazzaris on Sunset Strip. Randy was as good as Eddie. Check out early version of " Slick Black Cadillac " for confirmation.
I agree, this was a heartbreaking tragedy. I was deep into metal during the 80s and remember it well. Out of all the rockers of that era you couldn't have found a more undeserving soul of such an unfortunate fate. Like you said, he wasn't even into the hard rock and roll lifestyle and had other interests in life. He simply happened to have a talent that put him in that environment, at the mercy of others who made bad choices. Coincidentally, I happen to play a Jackson Rhoads guitar myself, so I am reminded of this every day. Thanks for taking the time and effort to visit that spot, no doubt it was hard to see.
Amazing musician. My nephew asked me (when he was a teenager and learning guitar) who my favorite guitarist was, and I told him to watch the Crazy Train vid on TH-cam. He was awestruck.
I didn't know who Randy was until I saw your vlogs with his brother. I could tell that, although this was a sad one for you, that it meant a lot for you to do. Thanks for sharing. I think Randy would smile if he saw this.
Great video. I am thinking the gates on each side of the runway are operated by the planes that take off and land, so people on the road know a plane is coming.
What a special vlog tribute to Randy, sad but glad you took me there. I like the way you went to the park after, it was nice seeing the water, hearing the birds and seeing turtles and ducks. I think the sounds of nature are particularly clear after/during a death site graveyard etc. Thank you
Jordan, you are amazing. The more I watch your videos, the more I want to. Elliot Smith and Gram Parsons were wonderful. Your cover of Elliot's song was spot on. Keep up the great work.
I saw on Ozzy Osbourne's instagram yesterday a picture of him and Randy on stage and he wished Randy a happy birthday. He said rest in peace my friend. thought I'd share.
Great tribute to Randy ❤️. When you were walking around I felt scared for you. Alligators are one of my fears. You have such a compassionate 💜 Loved all the videos about Randy Rhodes❤️. Stay Safe Jordan💕
Sorry we had to loose Randy this way. What a waste of a beautiful person and talent. I hope Randy rests in peace. Beautiful gardens and glad you didn't get ate anything Jordan. Stay safe, take care and God bless.
Very sad ending to Randy's life. Reminder of how precious life is and can be over in an instant. I remember when you posted the vlog of his brother and the studio. There are alligators all over the place down here. We waterski and fish all around them. lol Thanks for sharing this tribute Jordan.
Hi Jordan, how sad, and again a fabulous young talented musician gone far too soon RIP Randy. Those gardens are just beautiful. Geez, alligators, like I've said before, If I'd of known there were gators there I'd be off those paths like Roadrunner!! Oh my, and look at all those bits of lunch just walking around on the grass!! Great vlog Jordan.
I had tickets to see Randy in Greensboro, NC. Once I heard Crazy Train on the radio, he became my favorite guitarist. This was very sad for me. I too have spent time with Kelle and toured Musonia, and visited his grave (5 years ago). I had the local news paper of this tragic accident after it happened because someone knew someone who lived in Leesburg at the time and brought it to us in North Carolina. Thanks for this video.
Really enjoy watching your vlogs Jordan. I remember watching the vlog where you talked to Randy's brother. Do you ever plan on doing a vlog on Stevie Ray Vaughan's helicopter crash site? I remember watching your vlogs about him and the one especially on the locations for the music video for Crossfire. Hope you are having a great time in Florida. Cant help but wonder what Jah would do when he seen those ducks.
It does hurt the heart to think about this... Lives lost because of someones' foolishness... Especially ironic because Randy didn't like flying and was straight. The year that he died, he was included in Rolling Stone's end of the year issue which included names and photos of those in pop entertainment who had passed. There was a quote by Ozzy that said" Randy had a spark"... You could see it just by looking at him. Great idea going to that park after... It was pretty and peaceful. Thanks Jordan☺💝🎆 RIP Randy 🌹
Great video Jordan... I was Don Airey's tech for 4 years including the time of the accident...We were in Orlando when we got the news...Andrew Aycock was a toxic human and to many people involved with the Diary of a Madman Tour we feel it was intentional
@@DazewithJordantheLion Jordan to be honest with you, Myself and Don have a hard time still dealing with it every time we hear Randy...I had words with the pilot 5 days before the accident and to think about the why of Randy and Rachel's death is tough...I see lots of videos about this and yours is by far the classiest and most accurate... looking forward to seeing your other videos...God Bless Mate
If randy were alive today, he'd be healthy and more well known than slash. Clean man and one of the best shredders I've ever heard. His impact on ozzy is unprecedented.
No kidding, I’ve learned more about music history from your vlogs than I did in my Jazz to Rock into course. And, you’re definitely much more interesting!😄
The church that Rudy has said that he went to, right after.....not sure if that is around there, but that would have been a nice addition to this video. Thanks for sharing J.
Theres many stories like Aycocks wife was picked up on the way and they were divorcing or had divorced and on theory was the tipping of the plane was due her standing on the bus door. Or on Andrew Kleins book Rachel Youngblood, who had issues with heart, died of a heart attack and Randy was sitting behind her. All in all a sad story, which none of us fully understand.
You can ski right over where the helicopter crashed. There isn't any memorial or anything on the slope or property. Which is really sad and very lame. I was there for the Eric Clapton concert that night. And it was such a good concert! Was super sad the next morning when I saw the news. Very surreal.
So sad to see the place where Randy passed, I agree, but it’s good that you got to go to see it. The animals were cool to see as well. Love the nature footage :)
Also....Don Airey was the last to see his final moments as he was taking pictures of the plane as they were flying around. He said he noticed some kind of struggle as they buzzed the bus the last time....
Thank you Jordan. A sad video but a respectful and interesting one on the shorted life of a artist with great potential. Who knows what he would have accomplished. It was. Interesting to know the details about his last moments and how the crash occured. On another note, were those alligator signs for real or just a joke? I was worried for you the entire time you were walking through that garden. We don't have those signs in Michigan - just dangerous current signs along the great lakes. Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭
How many lives have been ruined because of drugs. God bless. Thank you for this video. Randy is one of my Spirit Guides. He's watching this with me. His Spirit is very much alive. He truly appreciates your sentiment and how emotional you are over his passing. ❤
Yesterday would have been Randy's 64th Birthday.. the music lives on...
Happy Birthday Randy, wherever you are💝🎆🎈🎉

Also....Don Airey was the last to see his final moments as he was taking pictures of the plane as they were flying around. He said he noticed some kind of struggle as they buzzed the bus the last time....
Thats what rudy sarzo says too, that he saw a struggle in the plane
Thank you Jordan. A sad video but a respectful and interesting one on the shorted life of a artist with great potential. Who knows what he would have accomplished. It was. Interesting to know the details about his last moments and how the crash occured. On another note, were those alligator signs for real or just a joke? I was worried for you the entire time you were walking through that garden. We don't have those signs in Michigan - just dangerous current signs along the great lakes. Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭
You'd best believe that gators
are around in Florida,
along with wild boars
and poisonous snakes.
How many lives have been ruined because of drugs. God bless. Thank you for this video.
Randy is one of my Spirit Guides. He's watching this with me. His Spirit is very much alive. He truly appreciates your sentiment and how emotional you are over his passing. ❤
