Thanks for watching, Its something different and if it does not work you can just attached a big lure on and stripe it back. Sometimes in winter the trout have seen the big lures and take something smaller.
Stillwater: 12 - 10ft single 8lb if I have 2 flies on and a tapered 10ft for a single fly with the last 4ft 6lb. For rivers single 8ft tapered down to 4lb. Cheers for watching MD.
Another great vid thanks, how did you tie on your double flies ? Ive seen you do it on a dropper type rig and then a way where you tied the fly straight into the main line, thanks again.
If your go back to pennine ask Andy or Steve what has been the fly for the week, this weekend am going for stalking lead bugs, apps bloodworm, fabs, black gold head buzzers and afew cormarant flies all on a 14ft leader going down to 7lb tippet on a floating line.
I always ask the owners what's catching or read the waters facebook page. Another way is when you catch your first fish spoon the fish that's if it's allowed to see what's it's been eating,
Great video - with excellent fly choices - thanks for the information!
Cheers Mark Video 143 is a few more flies that catch during the winter months, Thanks for the comment and also for watching Regards MD

Great vid, I don’t normally fish in winter but will give it a go this year with these flies.

You can get a nice Ron Thomson for around about £20, my main floating lines are Sunray, with the over hand marker, which I got in a sale for £29 each.
Please can you help me if a fly does work how long do you keep trying until you change your fly new to stillwater fisher

Hi, Do you put a bead on or any weight on the egg patterns? Thanks.
No the hook is the weight, some of my eggs do have beads which get them down faster. Thanks for watching.
Cheers mate. Very useful info.
