Hello friends, today we’ll look at the cougar. The cougar, also known as the puma or mountain lion, is the largest cat in North America. They’re a deep golden brown, with large paws and long tails. The silent and swift cougar is an active hunter both day and night. They’re very strong and can spring over 20’ in one leap. They feel vibrations through their whiskers, and have keen visual, smelling, and hearing abilities. The cougar’s awareness allows them to anticipate what will happen next. They can climb trees, rugged cliffs, and can sit for hours waiting for the perfect time to pounce.
The agile cougar can adapt and thrive in a variety of environments. In the wild, the intelligent cougar observes with scrutiny and knows how to choose the right moment for success. They’re masters of camouflage and move almost invisibly. Cougars are powerful yet graceful, aggressive yet gentle. They’re rarely seen yet their roar is feared by many, especially if someone crosses their boundaries.
Cougars are confident, cunning, fierce, and protective. In many Native American cultures, the cougar is revered as a powerful spirit animal and is thought to be a symbol of leadership and wisdom. By harnessing the energy of the cougar, we can tap into our own inner strength and become more confident and decisive in our actions. Call on their spirit when you to take charge of your life. Meeting a cougar at 1 AM in our community pool enclosure, I at first thought it was a very large dog. I ignored the "dog" and
looked for the owner. The cougar was dipping his paw into the hot tub, seemingly fascinated by the warmth - it was February.
It realized I was there, did a literal double-take and _leaped_ over the hot tub, landing about 20 feet away ... "That's not a dog!"
It rebounded and jump another 15 feet over and a six foot fence. WOW!!!! I did make cats of his prints the next morning 💖

Their all over in washington state. They come into the city and roam around in neighborhoods. People see them on their door cameras all the time.

Shows that these cats really don't want to interact with people.
I've had several encounters at night, and one in the afternoon, while hiking around Tucson AZ.
Amazing and beautiful animals. We should treasure them.
