If you go out there without a weapon you're insane
Stay strapped out there.
Hell yeah that’s true I would take a long as knife. I’ll stab that thing in the head if it gets near me
Probrobly jail time in California if you shoot it after it attacks you
Rather be in jail than to die from a mountain lion
then dont go outside if your that scared --dur!!!
Bro...I must say your calmness and confidence is why you are still alive. You showed no fear and it knew that!
In Cantonese, folks don't say, How are you?
They say, Have you eaten dinner already?
It's the same way one would greet a cougar.
Geek
I love it it's so beautiful and amazing and wonderful 😊
Shes not chilling, shes sizing you up..Bears do the same thing in Montana...Carry a pistol at the minimum..
I got attacked by a stray cat. Took a big chunk of meat out of my leg. If that little thing is capable of that completely unprovoked, imagine what that cat could do.
Where in Cali was it spottex?
Leave the Mountain Lions alone .
The encounter I had was where I saw the lion dive into the bushes as I came up a steep trail, huffing and puffing from being out of shape (Gilroy, CA)
Dude, can you get this collar off me, I identify as house cat.
Hey man, props for keeping your cool. 👍👏
Reminder: if a mountain lion is actually hunting you, you won't see it coming.
poor cat looks thirsty and hungry and ill.
Agree, very sad. Maybe the collar part of the problem
Anyone know whereabouts this was in Trabuco canyon?
Aww she’s cute, she needs water asap.
It’s the mountain lion you don’t see that would be the problem
Poor thing probably dehydrated hungry
Somebody needs to add a bell to that collar 😂😂😂😂
it had on a tracker collar so it knows. 😊
Good catch. I missed that at first
Why did the big cat have on a wide neck band?
BEAR SPRAY AT THE LEAST PEOPLE!!!!!🙄
🤣 HADNT WATCHED THE VID YET...AT LEAST HE HAD THE SPRAY AT BAY.
Yeah Id use spray to piss it off. Good idea.
Which/where trail were u?
Wow!
I was visiting a cousin who lives in Phoenix a couple of years ago, she said we should go for a hike I said sure lets go. She told me to grab about a dozen or so bottle rockets and hand towel ( hand towle to hold the bottle rocket when it's been lit ), I asked why that stuff. She said to scare away any mountain lions or coyotes, we saw a mountian lion but it kept it's distance.
Breathtakingly close.
The hell is on her neck? Poor kitty
hit it with the phone. 😅
I had this experience a few times, many years ago. Man has encroached into their territory, they're feeding grounds. Luckily for this person, she didn't have any Cubs to protect and or she's apparently not extremely hungry!
Most attacks in humans happen because of one of those reasons.
I consider it an Honor to be in such close proximity to any wildlife.
Please remember people, you are invading Their Territories!!!
Be Very Respectful ✌️💞🙏
she's walking with such a friendly posture
Was this video taken in Whiting Ranch ?
So you risked your life so you could get a video for a few seconds of fame?
Modern society
Worth it.
he was checking his nature cameras he said. 👍🏿
Yeah!! So he can entertain you!!
Wow. What a way to get taught how to use your phone camera.
Which trail was it on?
omg hes lucky day, the cat didnt want no smoke 😮
I've encountered dogs more threatening than that!
She meant you no harm at all she was freaked out as much as you were
So this animal has a name, a collar, and a tracker thingy on its right ear, so it is not some random encounter. It seems the cat has some sense not to mess with people, or it is tamed. Maybe care for as a cub, or something. It is skinny and thirsty too.
That IS close!
I encountered a mountain lion and her cub in Idyllwild in around 1989.
I was surveying and walked within 60’ of her, they had been sleeping under a pine on a little rise. The first I knew of them was her growling and I froze. She turned and walked away, then the cub stood up! I just watched as the cub looked at me and then followed it’s mother.
I was lucky that day!
That heat wave man, that mountain lion said it’s to hot to hunt I’ll eat at sundown lol! Seriously though good job staying calm and alert, I’ve had a few close calls myself and you seemed to have handled that perfectly.
