    I add little bit of jaggery and use rock salt . I put the salt ( கல் உப்பு ) in the hot kadai after switching it off. While roasting I sprinkle little salt so that there is no pungent smell. ( நெடி)

    I am 26 now..untill you start the youtube channel i never show any interest to learn cooking since that my parents and my relative always scold me...once i watch your uppuma receipe and i impress with your teaching method and i tried in my home....you don't beleive that eversince in my life that was the fantastic uppuma i tasted... whenever my mother get sick we used to always buy foods from outside while my relative always scolding me for i am unable to cook and support my family....last time my amma was hospitalized for 3 days...I am the person cooked 3 days 9 meals with your help..... now i really get interest to cook for myself and others...       True but some recipes have unnecessary procedure. Watch his curd rice. So cumbersome. Simple curd rice with simple tadka with small mangoes pieces(of course during season) tastes yummy.

    Sir, I think you had used stainless steel kadaai to roast the ingredients. It's difficult to get the even golden brown colour of roasted dhals. So I prefer hindalium kadaai to roast these types of dhals.
    Even I could see your gram dhal slightly turned into black in colour. Sorry if I pinpointed anything wrong.

    I prepared idli milaga podi as per ur video .. my god the taste was awesome... I also made parupu podi with garlic.. I always thought adding garlic will make the powder soggy but I was amazed when it turned out fine powder... Thank u so much sir for sharing all these recipes with us..

    I am trying all your dishes , it's excellent. The way you explain is excellent. I have improved a lot in cooking seeing all your videos. Keep teaching many recipes. We are cooking everday your recipes and enjoying . Excellent taste. So far I tried mango malli sadam, brinjal recipe, paneer tikka, kadle kalu curry, paneer butter masala, dosa.     These podi idlis hit different in lunch period lemme tell yall some tasty diffin box dish
    1.kal dosa with chilli chutney
    2.kaara kulambu with 2 boiled eggs
    3.rasam rice with enna kathirikai
    4.sambar beans thovattal
    5.Thakkali saadham and vathal waatha highlighte idhan bha
    6.Thaalicha plain thayir soru with cube carrot thovattal dont forget to sprinkle some coconut
    Indha maari nan sollikite polam thats how cool was school lunch hour everyday we eat different varieties of food

    Venkatesh, your Idly powder recipe, looks like a typical Madhwa household recipe. My grandmother is used to make almost like this but instead of mixie ,the whole mixture was hand pounded.
