Does the Polestar 3 or 4 have a Sentry Mode like Tesla? It is so useful for your safety. I'm a Tesla owner. A few weeks ago a car damaged my Tesla in a parking lot and drove off. The sentry mode of my Tesla recorded him, so I got the other driver. That feature is like cash.
I believe Tesla is the only company in the game that has something like Sentry mode from the factory sans adding an expensive dash cam set up of your own which may not be as robust
Excellent review once again Kris. Keep up the great work, and will be great to see your review of the P4 next month. One suggestion for you is a little colour correction. The colour is a little washed out. Not dramatic, but a little fine tuning for some extra punch in the colour. P3 looks awesome.
Another TH-cam reviewer commented on the rear clicking noise, and suggested it was a pre-production unit and hopefully would be improved in the shipping version.
Best looking car and nice to see hitting this road Kris, Did you drive this for whole day or weeks? Just wanna make sure that Sw is not crap like Fisker
Agree on the design and quality build. Also agree with your wheel choice. Enjoyed seeing a review of the car in a slightly lower spec because the leather extra is a rip off. I will be waiting for the single motor to come out or second hand vehicles to make it more affordable
Great review. Love the physical air vents. Hate the other stuff buried in the screen like mirrors, and double hate the single window switches for all 4 windows...super stupid, no one likes it.
Totally agree with you. I'm really hoping physical controls are on their way back. With VW it already is. Touch display and "automatic settings" are terrible, extremely inaccurate.
Good looking car! I think every car should have vertical multimedia… nobody uses smartphones in horizontal position 🙃. As to the space on the rear seats…could be better… take 190cm driver or higher and there will be no space 😉
@@Today_I_Want_To Assuming that watching videos is not something you should do while driving, I would insist that for all other routine operations it is more convenient to use the phone and car’s multimedia in vertical mode😉
Smartphones aren’t a good analogy for Infotainment. You can’t use infotainment displays in the palm of your hand, or interact with them via your thumbs. Visuals aren’t front-and-center. Reaching across and tapping on-screen elements with your index finger is much, much less precise of an interaction than we’re used to on other touch screens. It’s all about reach curves, sight-lines, muscle memory, and tactility- especially as physical controls are digitized for cost savings. There are positives and negatives for both orientations in these respects.
Beautiful car, this has to be the best over the EX30 Volvo which for me looks similar. Obviously this is bigger for sure. @Kris Rifa, what's your preference for the cost of buying value for money? A side by side would be good. Personally I think Volvo should have given the EX30 the heads display or at least the same speed indication screen in line of sight like this Polestar 3. Great review by the way.
Torque vectoring is not fiddly, so not sure what you mean here? In retrospect I don't think power was limited, but is me expecting wheel spin and the car actually putting the power down. I've also driven it on an ice track and there it was spectacular to drive. It looks great in and out, beautifully built interior, great to drive, great range, quiet comfortable. It has it all and feels more complete than any other EV on the market. I don't think there is any better EV at this price.
Its funny how every single youtube review of the Polestar 3 takes place in the exact same spot. Did you all get an allocation for the location, or was it just first come first served?
Haha! These press drives where done over a period of 6-7 weeks. Polestar had hired videographers that we could use, and they where the ones who suggested the different spots in this small town where Polestar had their media base 😊
Oh God. Really? I test drove this and absolutely thought the interior was awful. Poor materials. Rough touch textures everywhere. Information being delivered suboptimally and the seats were extremely rough to feel and for me the proportions didn't work. Yeah my tastes and yours have diverged alot since the xc90 Started with HUDs ( I love them especially these days). I always regretted not getting a hud for my xc90. But the polestar 3...ugh. I have found most of the Polestars now disappointing. The power delivery is just rough too...and there is this weird hesitancy in the handling I have found in the entire line. You kind of talk about it in regards to the chassis...but it seems even more basic than just power to chassis ratio. Anyhow not a knock on the process you do...just the conclusions.

You. Will. Not. Get. A. Macan EV. At. This. Price. people keep comparing it to the macan, yet that car will easily surpass 100k to get even remotely to the the same spec that the polestar 3 has. And that is for a Normal macan 4, not turbo
Of course you will get a macan with a few extras for 90k. Also PS3 needs 2 option packages (Pilot & Plus) for it to be a proper car. Of course PS3 Launch Edition is already offered with 8k EUR discount and they lowered the starting price by 10k before the launch. What does this tell us? It is still too expensive for what it is. 100k cars cannot be Geelys, sorry to disappoint you.
@@lbtobl83 thanks for your message. It’s limiting the tail out because Polestar does not want to kill the average consumer. High praise over your Taycan, despite the prestige barometer.

How good are the aerodynamics?
Quick question, have you by any chance driven this car on an ice track?
