I just got this game a few days ago and your videos are awesome for getting the hang of the flow of the game. Thank you for taking the time to make them!
I was about to point out that the Imp was immune to the Fire trait, and thus could not be harmed by your Fire Bolt spell. Then I saw that the Fire Bolt spell does not have the fire trait and I'm baffled. It's probably an error, don't you think? Nice videos by the way! I'm really impressed how you notice all your small mistakes afterwards. It's very comforting for me as a viewer when you adress them in the subtitles.
Good game! But keep in mind that in the new core set you don't recharge spells right after using them; now they are dealt with in the recovery step at the end of a characters turn.
Dale the Casual Gamer could you do a video of what the rules differences are? Also is there any chance that you could do a how the games plays (sort of a how to) video. There is nothing really out there for PACG 2.0. Also if you like your videos to BGG you will get more views. There are NO VIDEOS on there yet. Thanks

I found this scenario very hard... ran out of time the first time and the second time it looked like a loss until somehow we got like 3 areas closed in like 5-6 turns... otherwise it would of been a loss... those barriers are brutal and kept killing us... I just can't believe for the second scenario in the game it was soooooo hard... I bet if I played it 50 times I would loose 45 of them... geez I hope it gets easier... I have the core and crimson throne so I want to play them all but if its that hard this early in the game I am worried... I like hard games but sometimes pathfinder system is just broken... pick up items that characters have 0 chance of getting, and using your blessing and loosing them too early in the game will kill you. Also damage from enemies is brutal when you take like 3-4 damage in one hit.. that can literally keep you from having any chance to win....
@idjester It is hard to level up, and the random items is tough when most don't work with your character. Trying to ensure you have characters that cover the different skills are important, especially for those barriers. Good luck in the rest of your adventures!!
Hi, thanks for you video ;) I dont find in book how can be sure you can display two armors? For me in logical mind we can wearing only one armor dont you think?
I couldn't find any clarification either. I think I played once where I didn't because of "theme" and was told you could. So for "roleplaying", instead of thinking you have several armors on, think of having one on and another in your backpack/sack since you can only use once per check. Have fun!!
Sweet setup Dale ... What card holders are you using? I would like to get a setup like yours. I think it would motivate me to get it to the table more often. Mine always ends up a giant mess!

Thanks for the play through. I enjoyed it. I have the game and am setting up this scenario. I am confused as to where to include the proxy card for elementals in this scenario. There are 3 locations but 4 Henchman. Does 1 location get an extra card? You came across 1 henchman at each location but avoided the proxy card. Probably a silly question. Thanks again.
@@scredola No problem. The "henchman" chart is set up to give you options for up to 6 players, so for less, just use enough to get one henchman or villain in each location. Good luck!
@@scredola Actually, the way it worked is that you go down the list until you have 1 card for each location. So if you have 4 henchmen listed, you'd use only the first 3 (usually using Proxies to fill the remaining locations; you may not use all the henchmen listed based on number of characters playing and/or scenario modifiers)
Also at least in one occurrence you did add a die + modifier after blessing a roll. But it seems it is suppose to be only adding the dice (without its modifier)
True ... I believe I corrected that in following videos, not necessarily the very next one, but eventually. :) Who did you choose for your heroes, and how's it going so far?
@@DaletheCasualGamer I'm trying to make my way with the barbarian and the sorcerer but I'm struggling with the 2nd scenario 😅. Your play through help me to get a better feel of the gameplay and make better choices
Correct. Depending on the number of locations, you add your villain and then enough closing henchmen until that number equals your number of locations. Then randomly put one of each of those cards into the location decks. Hope that helps, and good luck!
Good catch! You are correct. I've put too many 'good' cards in the Vault and will correct for future videos. The Vault and our deck should only have cards at the level of the most recently played scenario. I'll have a few playthroughs with higher level cards. Thanks!
@@DaletheCasualGamer it says in the storybook for Dragon's Demand. You are supposed to have 2 and 3 level cards in the vault, but you can't keep them in your decks. In Curse of the Crimson Throne level 1, you only have level 0 and 1 cards from the Core Set + level Curse box cards.
There are some things, you're doing wrong. 1) You treated the Locked Door as a Combat Check when it was just a Melee Skill check where you could Reveal an Axe or Bludgeon to get an extra d8. (Should have been a d12+d8+2). 2) Since you were playing scenario 1A, deck 2 cards shouldn't have been showing up, the Shock Glaive shouldn't have been a possible boon to get at this point. At this point, it's an OP weapon. 3a) Diabolical Imp is IMMUNE to Fire. Couldn't use Fire Bolt in the first place. Straight up lost that fight. 3b) Similar mistake as the Locked Door, treating an Arcane Skill check as a Combat Check. The Arcane/Divine 7 was a Skill Check (just d12+2) or you could Combat 10 instead (using a weapon or spell; any card with 'For you Combat check..'). Can't use weapons or spells on Melee/Ranged/Arcane/Divine Skill Checks unless a card specifically says you can. (Like the Locked Door did for the Axe/Bludgeon d8).
In regards to number two I don’t think that’s correct. All cards except banes above first level are part of the level one vault. They can show up in locations and you can get them though checks but you just can’t carry them forward to other level one scenarios in your starting deck.
@@camb102 Where does it say that? If Dale said it, he's in error. Putting all the boons, level 0-3 into the deck and not the banes would just set this game to easy-mode. Core Rulebook pg 4, Last sentence in the 'Built the Vault' section: Use the divider labeled Future Adventures for cards not in the vault whose level is higher than #. Loot cards are the only exception as they are story-driven rewards.
@Brock Ormond ... Check the "Build the Vault" section in the Dragon's Demand adventure path book. "the vault should contain ALL CORE SET cards except for banes whose level is higher than 1".
@Brock Ormond I’m not sure 3a is correct. Page 31 has the definition of immune as “Invulnerable to a trait. Characters may not use a trait against a card that’s immune to it.” Key word is “trait”. Fire Bolt has Magic and Arcane as listed traits. Fire Bolt is the name of the card and not one of its traits. This is defined further on page 8 of the rule book; third paragraph, “If the card you’re encountering is immune....”. There’s an example on page 29 of the rule book that might also be relevant. “An Elixir of Healing may sound like it’s magical, but it doesn’t have the Magic trait.” Even though Fire Bolt May sound like it’s associated with fire, it doesn’t have the Fire trait.
