Join me onboard Celebrity Edge for an in-depth tour of the Celebrity Cruises infinite veranda cabin - in this case, cabin 8350.
This controversial cabin type debuted with Celebrity Edge in 2018 and offers indoor/outdoor balcony space with an electronically controlled sliding window. It can convert your traditional outdoor balcony into an additional indoor space that can be enjoyed easily in all weather types.

We have cruised in similar infinite veranda cabin and loved it, very practical and useful area made of the typical veranda cabin. Excellent review.

The veranda setup may be OK for those chillier cruises but when the cruise is through tropical or hot destinations, I reckon an open balcony is an absolute must!

Beautiful colour scheme. Wardrobe is a problem. Bathroom is beautiful, the drawers are a brilliant idea. I like the balcony too. Thanks to you and your assistant ❤❤ Sue

I wonder if those who dislike the Infinite Balcony idea, are familiar with the idea of retroactively enclosing the patio of a flat, in glass, to make the patio a direct enlargement of the room it's attached to?
Here in Brisbane I've seen such enclosed patios, and they are a handy room expansion.
Looking at how the Infinite Balcony works, I wonder when someone will use its design ideas when glass enclosing the patio of a flat.

The only problem i see is the aircon not working properly with the balcony window open. If it works with the privacy screen shut this would keep the cabin cool while enjoying the balcony.

That is one of the issues in warmer climates, the balcony window open means no AC and that means it’s either/or.

I have been on cruises where its often too hot, too cold, or too windy to even use the balcony. This just seems like the best option, a balcony when its nice weather, and a full window when its not. I have seen other videos where the room configuration has the bed near the balcony. Your layout seems much more usable, the balcony is an extension of the living area, rather than just a small addition beyond the bed.
Complaints about the IV seem to be centered around the AC turning off when you open the window. Seems like nitpicking, its only going to take a few minutes to chill the room once you do close the window.

I can see the appeal, especially in terms of having a partner with mobility issues...assuming Celebrity offer accessible cabins with Infinite Balcony. No heavy door to consider, no step up and down, no pervy neighbours, and, I'm guessing, you can have the window open whilst in your cabin...with the main door close of course. So if you want an afternoon nap, you can so with fresh air coming.
