Celebrity Apex Deluxe Porthole Cabin TOUR | Better Than Infinite Veranda?

  • In the first of our Celebrity Apex cruise videos we take a tour and give our initial thoughts on the Celebrity Apex Deluxe Porthole Cabin, the cabin we picked specifically for this transatlantic trip purely for it having a traditional balcony door; not one of the controversial infinite veranda cabins which are like marmite to many cruisers.
    But was it the right choice?
    As usual with our videos, we record these in a single take to give you our honest, non-scripted opinions. And as always our videos and all content is shot by us, in 4K and no stock images are used.

    First time watching one of your videos. I subscribed 👍 Love that cabin, the proximity to outdoor cafe etc. is a bit worrying but I’ll wait to see what you think 😉

      Thank you so much Kathy. So far (day 2) the cafe has been a none issue as its not been open during our port days 😂 so let's see what it is like during our sea days. So far though, we are loving the cabin.

    Wow - you got this video uploaded SO quickly after boarding - I'm SO impressed! This cabin looks absolutely beautiful - much better (and less controversial) than those infinite balcony cabins...
    Those random towels on the back of the sofa cracked me up - that's what I do for my parents when they visit with the dogs, haha!

      @SuiteNatured  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      He he he. It really nearly wasn't uploaded this quickly. We massively prefer this and the open balcony to the infinite balconies.
      We stack those towels them like that for our son when he visits too.
      Hope you are still loving the TA on Virgin.

    Interesting. I didn't realise the top part was open. Certainly worth considering 👍

      It is fully open at the top half 😀 and after day 5 we can honestly say it is a lovely cabin.

    The room and balcony look great! I am on the Beyond in July. Also, your wrap is fantastic! May I ask where you purchased it from? It’s so wonderfully colorful.

    • @SuiteNatured

      Sorry for the very late reply Kevin. The room really was great, and we loved the porthole veranda so much. The wrap was from Joe Browns.

    I am guessing without knowing that there wont have been much noise from the Eden Cafe as it not that well known about, especially the outside bit, and its not open that late either.

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There was no noise at all out there. We saw the ground total of 5 people sat out there during the entire cruise. Even on the sunny days no one was out there at all.

    Love that cabin, and so much better than the infinite veranda, which is controversial to say the least.

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We massively preferred it to their infinite veranda, just being able to open the door at night (or anytime) and get air in, as opposed to Air Con which a delight. And for a TA it was lovely and sheltered too so we got a lot of use of it.

  • @elaineshepherd4757

    Looks better than an invinate balcony. I like to be able to get air sometimes. Dont like the idea of captain controlling the window's. People are saying those rooms get too hot

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      After only one night Elaine we know that we definitely chose wisely with this room over the infinite veranda. We had the door ajar all night listening to to the ocean and getting that sea air in. Love it.

    Interested to view. I have booked the infinite veranda which i know has really divided opinion!

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks Emily, we will be really interested to hear what you think. They really do appear to be like marmite, some love them, some really dislike them. For us it was having a proper balcony that we knew we could go out onto whenever we wanted that tipped us to the Porthole Balcony rather than the Infinite one.
      Have a lovely day, and Happy New Year, Linzi & Mark

    I saw this on another channel also but i understand they are very limited. 18 per ship? Great looking ships but these infinate balcony rooms are a shot in the foot in my opinion. Saying that, We still want to try the Edge class. 👋🤣

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The Deluxe Porthole cabins are, in our opinion, well worth trying to get, we would definitely rather have one of these than the infinite veranda rooms, but if we couldn't get one, then of course we would stay in one of the others :)

    Can I ask what cabin number you are in? I have two cabins booked on the transatlantic next November on Apex also in deluxe porthole balconies over Eden 😊 I hope you are enjoying your cruise, and looking forward to your reviews!

      We are in cabin 6286. We are loving the cruise and cabin so far (day 5) and we've had no noise at all from the area below or Eden.

    Those ugly yellow mustard towels are for beach days or excursions. We usually take towels from the pool for use at the beach or excursions.
