    You're brave doing all this in a carpet where static electricity can wreck havoc.

      Yeeah, a lot of people who watch me do stuff with computers cringe when I just set the raw circuit board down on a carpet. I am planning on investing in an actual anti-static mat soon!

    Hello thanks for the video! I noticed that you use Ubuntu. I tried to install this system several times and the audio is terrible. Do you weave this problem ??

    Where did you get your ssd

  • @GenshinPlayerBR
    @GenshinPlayerBR 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    As it apparently doesn't have LAN port, if you replace the Wi-Fi card on M2 port with an SSD, how can you connect to the internet? Only through an Wi-Fi USB adapter?

    • @thevividyoshi
      @thevividyoshi 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You would have to connect the laptop with a USB WiFi adapter, which nowadays is small enough to not be in the way. The only potential problem is that an M2 SSD may not fit in that port, and if it does the motherboard might not support booting to it. YMMV though, I personally haven't tried it.

      The link in description is broken, probably because the ")" in the end was not embedded. Maybe you should try shorten URL.

    Does this laptop support gpu upgrade?

    • @thevividtech7659
      @thevividtech7659  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, this laptop does not support swapping CPUs, as it is soldered right onto the motherboard. Furthermore, there is no port on the motherboard to add one, except for Mini PCIe... good luck getting that to work!
      Theoretically, you could attach an external GPU via USB 3.0, but in practice, you'd be much better off just investing in a cheap desktop computer to put a GPU in.
