Dawww! The cute little thing does appear to struggle a tad with picking up the rice. But for the dual purpose, I think I could handle a little slower vacuuming.

I'm not sure since I haven't used it on long term, but it looks very durable.

I like this device but you neglected to mention that you must change soap when you change surfaces.
Nope, use a multi-surface cleaner. I use it on area rugs, ceramic and hard wood. Zero issues.
