  • As a Christmas present to myself, I ordered a Bissell Crosswave to see if the internet hype was worth it. In this video, I'm unboxing my new wet/dry vacuum and trying it out for the first time at home, vlog style. Watch to see my initial thoughts as to how the Bissell Crosswave performs on hard floors with lots of puppy paw prints.
    Is the Bissell Crosswave the best wet/dry vacuum out there? Watch this before you buy.

    This is one of the best reviews I’ve seen on this model. Very honest and helpful. Truly appreciated your candid thoughts on this CrossWave!! 🥰

    You may be seeing the paw prints because the dog is walking behind you in the wet floors, lol! If you go over it with just the vacuum feature it'll dry in a few min. There's a filter in it that u can lift out to throw the chunks away before dumping in the toilet.
    Also one of the best features is that IT'S SELF CLEANING.

      Mine came in at 8pm last night. I put it together and did a small section of my kitchen. The self cleaning option blew my mind.

    The tray can clean the brush and the machine. You put water in the tray where the brush section goes and then run it without the liquod function.

    Hi Sweetie. 1st Thank you for the review, pretty thorough. Only thing I will say is I understand your carpet is thick but maybe try first before assuming it won't work even if you know it might not. Is one of the main reasons I watched the video But Again Thank you for the review. 🙂

    I suggest to oour the dirty water in the toilet
    I wonder how much liters of water it takes & how many rooms those liters enough for?

    I’m already on my 2nd return. First I bought the one from Costco (I think it’s this one). Then I bought once from Amazon (cordless). Worked ok first 2x now it’s leaving big puddles after. And now it won’t stay on (turns off after 2sec) I’m about to return to Kohl’s.
    Im so bummed. Costco one was $240 had cord Amazon one was $162 including $20 off coupon.
    Both seemed to not get close to the edges and u would have to go over and over to not get streaks. The Amazon one didn’t work good on rugs.
    Ugh I’m so annoyed.

    • @ChrisBanda
      @ChrisBanda 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cordless version needs to be charged for 4 hours for you to use it for 25-35 minutes. Also this is not ideal for rugs, especially if they're slightly thick.

      Yes, I had the same problem. Followed their videos, user manuals & customer support (which is a joke). They told me to replace the rollers after 10 uses, or once a month for my little house. Just not a solvable problem, and becomes too much invested $$ each month. The product is a joke.

  • @tamasborbas3539
    @tamasborbas3539 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi, I bought the cordless max. But my problem is that it leaves some dirty water on the floor, like a thin layer. It can be seen on light-coloured tiles. Which is quite annoying. I'm not satisfied with it to be honest. It sucks up a lot of dirty water, that's true. But it doesn't suck up all the dirty water and the brush gets dirty too quickly and smears that dirty water all over the floor. Does anyone experience the same?

    • @aykazahra9614
      @aykazahra9614 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I got mine today and its leaving dirty water stains on my white tiles. It vacuums good but mop functional is pathetic

    Costco 189 for the pet version until beginning of may 2021? I wonder if you can hack yours by going in the bissell website and ordering the little hair strainer at least to pop in the dirty water tank.
    Also i was like you who went from swiffer to crosswave. I had to change my mindset, you are making your passes too fast so it doesnt give the machine time to do the actual cleaning. I learned that if i press the trigger going forward go about half as fast as i would normally, and then release the trigger on the back pass, my floors will dry faster. If its dirt on rugs, go over with the dry side then press the trigger to wash the rug to prevent it from muddying onto the rug. Even going twice as slow, it saves me the time if i were to sweep and swiffer... and it does a much better job too!

    After awhile of having it now, would you say different? Did it grow on you or aggravate you? I just ordered one, and I'm hoping I love it

    • @spaceplaceandgrace
      @spaceplaceandgrace  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It grew on me for some areas, aggravated me for others. We moved homes fairly recently, and I've found its been really convenient for quick cleaning spills on rugs - something I never envisioned using it for before. I've learned to put hot/warm water in the tank every time before use!

  • @carolynspulnik7616

    My crosswave 2211 series suddenly has no more power. Went thru all their videos, which didn't help because my machine does not have a
    reset
    button that was explained in the videos. Called customer support, they said I need to change out the roller after 10 uses. That would be a brush per month for a small house. I'm not spending any more money on this piece of junk. No more bissell products for me.

    I returned TINECO & bought Bissel, now I am returning Bissel & buying TINECO again with $140 extra since I got deal fon TINECO the first time.
    Bissel does not dry wood floor & leaves it sticky. I thought its brush is better than TINECO S5, but I was wrong. TINECO is far superior product!

    I'ver been looking at the mop/vac. Are you still using it or did you switch to another model? I have a Bissell steam mop and I really like it but I do have to vacuum before using it and would love something that could do both as long as it cleans just as good or better. I have mostly hardwood and a little Luxury Vinyl and tile. Thanks!

    Hi Sarah. We got one today and I cleaned a small area around the stove where there were some grease stains and splashes and the floor came up spotless with just a couple of passes. Doing the whole apartment tomorrow so we'll see more then but early days, looks ok. Thanks for your thorough review. Very helpful.

  • @ChrisBanda

    Great video! It became pretty clear halfway through that you didn't read the instructions 😂 because you were figuring out things and talking about cleaning the machine in ways the manual clearly explains. Also the pet version which has a pet hair strainer in the dirty water tank would've been better suited for you. But you're right this is not some speedy everyday magical cleaner, definitely a once a week take your time cleaner.
