- 1979 XS 750 Cafe Racer. The Header is a one of a kind. You will not find another like it. It is made from Burns Stainless Steel. The chrome part is a muffler. The Number plate (side cover) is also a one of a kind. It is actually made from a factory side cover that's been modified with a dremel. The rear is from a XS 750 gas tank that was cut to make the tail pan, welded to the frame and then the break light was frenched in. The rear turn signals were mounted lower because I didn't like how they looked coming off the upper bolt on the shock.
Before I read anything, I was impressed by what looked like a well made stainless exhaust system, Beautiful bike too. Unique sound.
Gorgeous! LOVE IT! A really underrated bike.
Just starting a rebuild of the same bike, lots of cosmetic work to do! but thank you so much for this video, really inspired me.
hi, are you running stock carbs and what size jets did you use? exhaust sounds great where did you get the exhaust system? great bike
Couldn't help but notice the sound of a spinning gear on your first kick... Have you been having any more issues with the gears in the crankcase or the starter motor? Working on the same bike and can't seem to get this thing started anymore - continually killing the battery as well...
Adam H No... no issues at all. What you heard only happens once in a blue moon. It normally starts first kick.
where did you get your speedometer and tachometer, and in what ratios? I am working on my own xs750 and I'm wanting to upgrade.
I believe the tachometer is a 1:4 ratio. I purchased both from Dime City Cycles .com
I love the sound of these pipes. It would be great if you did a ride by video so we can hear it through the gears.
That sound... so good.
Läuft geil, gut eingestellt
Nice sount, correct injusted!!!
What are the rear shocks I want lower ones I don't no what fits
awesome bike. it sounds great. What exhaust is that?
How did you convert electric to kick
Is that a Washington plate I see back there?! I'm in Seattle, currently working on the same bike. Good looking bike, love the sound and the color. If I'm right about the plate, maybe I'll see you at a bike meet soon!
Ryan Bisson Yeah. I've gone up to Ballard a few times for Backfire Moto Night.
Nice bike! What gauges are those?
so cool
Is The pipe baffled? Sounds good and not too load. Bet it screams on the highway! Ride safe.
The seat was custom made to perfectly match the contour of the bike. A friend made the exhaust for me.
What brand mirrors?
Sweet sound triple engine
actually, I'm running 150's. we tried 145's but we couldn't dial it in with them. the 150s worked better with the exhaust.
+TripleXess Thats good to know, I just put 145's in mine, and I can get it close to what I want but maybe 150;s would be better. Yours is beautiful BTW
did anyone find out which jets he used? also how could i get an engine that clean without blasting?
anthony shroyer Not much bigger than factory. If I remember... 155-ish for the main jets.
+anthony shroyer If you are running Pod filters you should run 145 in the main jets
Thanks for the reply
sounds mean...badass bike
It is. But just barely...
