- ET sat down with 'Below Deck's chief stew to get all the info on season seven of the Bravo hit, including her thoughts on all the crew (some she finds too hot to handle, others she can't stand!) and what kind of drama to expect in Thailand. 'Below Deck' airs Mondays on Bravo.

Kate is far from perfect but there’s a reason she’s been a reoccurring role on the show. She’s hilarious, beautiful, and a total badass!
She walked off due to violence from the boys club . Verbal and threatening violence from Ashton caused Kate,to walk off .

Really??? She's a total bitch. She always starts controversies with the staff, and acts like she's Queen Bee. Good supervisors do not mistreat their staff. Good supervisors do not go out of their way to disparage the customer/clients. Good supervisors mitigate conflict, not create it. They should have gotten rid of her years ago. And if by hot ........you mean coated with make up, and bad plastic surgery. Yeah, then maybe you have a point. But to be honest, most guys find that revolting.

I wish captain Sandy would find a good chief stew for a change. Hannah is SUPER LAZY and treats others very badly and expects to do NO work herself as well as sneaky in a bad way. She always plays the victim regardless of her -part in the problem. Acts like male and thinks with the wrong head.However she wants lol he good credit that comes up. But NEVER is to blame for anything as far as she says.
Love Kate... she has such a wicked sense of humor. Plus, she helps to bring the fun/a bit of drama each season. Last season got pretty bananas so I'm looking forward to watching more episodes to see where it all goes. It's a fun show. :)

Kate is great at her job, full of ideas and goes the extra mile to make the guests happy, unlike Hannah.
I think Kate wants everyone to do their job and they're mad about doing it. She goes out of way for the guest.
Hannah gets out of working by pushing the chores on the new stews. More nap time for her. Kate never does that and is more professional.

A small part of me wanted to see Courtney and Kate together. Not in a very crass or vulgar way but because Courtney seemed so above the advances of the guys that Kate seemed like a better match for her. A night in with wine and conversation seems like an ideal date for them

Im in escrow to buy a yacht in about a year...think I will stick with a filipino crew only. I have actually watched below deck , but my circle of friends tell me it's mostly b.s. and that's not how yacht crews act.

Kate would probably be the worst person to work with. She talks about everyone like she’s perfect. She definitely has a RBF. She thinks she’s the only one who works and everyone is beneath her. Can’t stand her and would not trust her. Captain Lee seems to always take up for her when actually she’s the one who causes all the turmoil. He needs to open his eyes. Kate needs to examine her conscious and try and be nicer with the ppl she works with. Stop being so mean!!!

Totally agree. And odd it is, that the only posters here who praise her, are other women. I am no misogynist, but come on, do women really want to emulate this woman? She is the epitome of everything guys find unlikable about women (yes ladies, even decent guys have standards of what they expect from women). What they do not get is that there is a difference between having a strong personality and solid leadership skills, and just being a horrible person to others just because you have leverage over someone else. I occasionally watch this show just to see when the captain will come to his senses and fire this diva who causes him more financial losses and staffing troubles than not. Does he not watch the show himself, and realize that his business of chartering guests should take precedence over television ratings for a reality tv show? On several occasions she talks about the guests behind their backs, saying truly awful things about the guests. But she doesn't mind taking their money. My guess is, when those guests later see the episode in which they are featured on, and see what she says about them. They have got to be furious. Why would they want come back after that? Or for that matter, why would they recommend this boat to anyone else. At some point the show will be canceled, but the captain will still need to fill charters if he wants to stay in business. Contrived controversy does not make his business come across as all that appealing.
And no matter how a guest acts on board, they are the paying customers and deserve to be treated as such. So when she's putting together a party for the guests, finds that she doesn't have the required ingredients or equipment, she just covers that up with some cheap knock offs. Who wants to pay thousands of dollars a day for cheap cover ups? If you cannot provide the requested service or product to the guests, be honest with them rather than cheat them. But on several episodes she has demonstrated that she has no problem deceiving the guests into thinking they are getting what they paid for.
When she gets angry with one of her subordinates, she becomes petty and peevish. Forcing them to do nothing but menial work as punishment for not treating her like she's the Queen of Sheba. Get real. Is it any wonder that some of them become infuriated? And granted, clearly a lot of the "disagreements" are played up for the audience's sake. But at what point do they go from pretending that there is a controversy, where none need be, to realizing that a charter boat is not "MTV's House of Miserable College Losers Who Want to Be on TV, And Couldn't Get a Real Job Any Other Way". She's a fine example of why women struggle to climb the corporate ladder. Too many female bosses mistakenly believe that being harsh with your staff is the way to success. The best women bosses I've ever had all treated their staff with dignity and solid leadership. Those that report to them look not to their boss as a woman, but just a great leader. The worst female bosses I've had treat their staff as though they are there solely to serve them, and make them look good. Those types of bosses have no loyalty among their staff, nor should they.
