I can't wait to try this recipe. Adding a couple of spices must make the world of difference! You have a fantastic "Stage presence!" An absolute pleasure to watch. Thank you Chef.
This recipe is awesome. I've never put toasted spices in my raita. I added a little mint to mine as well. The chilli flavour is subtle but still has a little bite. Sooooo good. Thank you for sharing.
Hello sir, This rubbing of ends of the cucumber really helps in removing the bitterness. Its just that you need to rub it before you peel of the cucumber.
Dude....like that was ...like...awesome...I felt like I was in my mother's cousin's daughter's best friend's grandmother's house in the little village of Khanpur off the city of Ludhiana PB again, watching all everybody getting the evening meal ready...hehe...except back then everybody cooked over dried cow-poop in outdoor chulla stoves...Oh the memories.
yeah probably best fancy raita recipe I have seen ever! I was looking for prepared raita at the Indian market today and this older lady laughed and told me everyone makes it from scratch!
Dude, you must have hit the lottery to be able to stay home, dress up in expensive clothes in a million dollar kitchen and cook delicious mind altering food all day! And I say that as a compliment! Thanks deeply for sharing your wonderful and authentic food.
my grandma told me mustard is one of the herbs which takes the longest to digest, so it needs to be roasted thoroughly before adding any other ingredients. But, I noticed you put the mustard at the end and didn't even wait for it to crackle??? someone is going to get tummy ache Bhaiya (:
I made this recipe today and it was awesome. But I didn't fry the vegetables and masala. Instead I have put in grind cumin directly. Also I have put a bit of chat masala. And if you have completely sweet curd and you want a bit tangy flavour(which is tastier), then you can add other tangy veggies like tomato or little lemon, according to your need. Thank you(if this works for you, please like)😊😊😊
Hehe, you are so fun to watch! Very friendly disposition. Thanks for this great recipe! This was my first time making cucumber raita and it turned out sooo great! Thank you for sharing! :)
the raita looks good, though i haven't tried it yet. but why did you not use the core of the cucumber - the seeds, etc? i would really not like to waste anything.
I wish I had seen the recipe on Friday. I had guests coming over for lunch this saturday and I did prepare cucumber raita the usual way. :-( But I still have some curd n cucumber in the fridge. vl surprise my hubby this evening :-)
I live in NYC and my roommate is from India. He misses his mom's cooking so I'm teaching myself. I've learned how to make Sag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, and I just learned how to make this incredible Raita. My kitchen cupboards are overflowing with spices and powders. What a great journey. Thank you.

Beautiful raita indeed! What would be good to eat it with? Like after or with a spicy garam masala? Yes more cumin is always better. :)
