It’s also from what I understand easier to get super high on trombone as well, I never had a good low range but I got up to triple A one time(half step below the same pitch as trumpet double high C) when I used to play in high school(not that it’s that useful of a skill to be up there)
me a trombone player one day in my basement randomly hitting a clear quadruple A... (it would be the same note as trumpet triple B and would be the equivalent difficulty of a trumpet quadruple B) I did it when trying to work on range and I just bumped into this weird high pitch that was stable but I couldn't move around up or down from the note so it wasn't like I truly skillfully hit it.
I play trombone my lowest note is e one note below base clef staff and highest is a c on the treble clef staff so i would say my range is average to good
Listen if you play 2nd or 3rd they fully expect you to just say high C they’ll just be like “ok cool you can play the trumpet in like the range that matters”. They don’t need a whole line of screamers lol
it takes time, work on making your high register above the staff consistent instead of focusing on which note you can reach. You could have all the range in the world, but it doesn't matter if it doesn't sound good and in tune
Long tones on high notes. It just takes practice you can’t mentally gain the skill in my experience. Play with the embouchure that is most comfortable for you. Take a deep breath and everything else is practice.
Actually, you know that trumpet technically have a unlimited amount of range. It’s just almost impossible to make a noise so loud.
If I am not mistaken all wind instruments technically have an unlimited range

The bucees shirt really sells that it’s drum corps
Me, the piccolo player trying to remember if “double g” is the one that sits on the staff or the one above it lol
The one sitting on the staff is already above it. It's the first note above the staff, hence that second octave being double G.
