@M Ralte I remember seeing Andre Ward state a trainer's #1 job is to do everything in their power to make sure their fighter makes it home to their family. Everything else comes secondary. Including winning. A fighter may want to go out on their shield, but a good coach won't let them.
@@oMaJoJ Yep, thats what both the corner and ref are supposed to be there to do. Protect the fighters from their own pride and toughness which will just end up getting them killed or permanently damaged if not stepped in on.
Teddy Atlas though ppfffffft what a trainer! Turned someone remarkably average into someone who beat one of the best we've ever seen. Hats off!!
