@@nilinoa I think your comment is also kinda a spoiler, so I'd think mine gets hidden if they quickly looked away. I don't remember that dialogue but I have crappy memory. But also, Bellatrix later asks Neville how his parents are, and he says, "Better now that they're about to be avenged." That alone made me always think they died.
The chapter in the 5th book where they run into Neville visiting his parents hits so hard. Too bad it doesn't happen in the movies but maybe the TV can do that part justice. One of the saddest moments in the series.
It starts to rub me the wrong way that apparently nobody just can't tell Brig that Voldemort died when he tried to attack Harry as a baby 🤣 Like he keeps thinking that there was some great fight between Voldemort and Dumbledore 😅😅😅 just tell him!!
Voldemort and Harry wands are twins. Voldemort cast a killing spell, and Harry cast an assault spell. And the spell collides. Voldemort's spell turned around and showed the souls of people from the earliest killed to the latest with were Harry's parents.
The books explain how Barty Crouch jr got out of azkaban but they cut it out of the movies. I'm pretty bad at explaining but I'll give it a shot. Basically, after Crouch Jr gets sent to prison, his mother is heartbroken and her health starts deteriorating rapidly. At the same time, Crouch Jr himself gets very sick and is close to dying because of the awful conditions in azkaban. His mother, as her last wish, begs Barty Crouch Sr to save their son. He ends up agreeing and takes his wife to azkaban and leaves her there while bringing his son back home with him. The only guards in Azkaban are dementors and they can't see, they only sense people. So as far as they knew, one healthy and one dying person came to azkaban and then left, they didn't know the people had been switched. Soon after, the mrs crouch dies and her body is disposed by the dementors. Everyone in the ministry assumes that Crouch jr is dead now while he is secretly living with his father. He lives like that for years until he eventually manages to escape and rejoins Voldemort
It was left out of the final cut of the movies, but I think it was on the train ride back to London at the end of the third year that Ron got a new pet, a little owl named Pigwidgeon. He was a gift from Sirius since he kind of felt responsible for Ron losing his first pet.

The dragons were clutching their eggs, so it wouldn't have worked. Had the dragons seen their eggs flying towards the champions, they would've grabbed it. Plus Dragons are highly resistant to magic, so maybe their is some resistance imbued in the eggs as well.
No, Neville’s parents aren’t dead, but you’re right, they were interrogated disgustingly by being tortured by Cruciatus curse *UNTIL they went insane*. They’re still alive *but mentally incapacitated*. They’re at St. Mungos. Also Fun fact, In the book, the maze is even more hard, more complicated and more challenges are presented.
41:25 Because they never actually do that reveal in the film You're supposed to find out in book 3 in a scene that got cut that he names on the map, Prongs, Padfoot, Moony and Wormtail are Harry's dad, Sirius, Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew. Harry should've just called him Pettigrew in this scene really. It's actually not clear in the books either why Voldemort starts calling Peter by a childhood nickname, I guess it just sounds better, but it's not like he calls Lucius "Lucy".
Neville’s parents were not killed, “they suffered a fate worse than death” they were driven insane by the cruciatus curse and ended up in the psych hospital, being permanently incapacitated, so Neville stayed with his grandmother… The scene where Neville talks about them in the next movie gives a litttttle more insight but still doesn’t clarify they are still alive… in the books that scene is done differently to where it happens while Neville is visiting his parents he runs into Harry
I kinda warmed up a bit to this one now. When I don't compare it to the book too much (which was my favorite in the series), it was actually pretty fun ride. I do wish the ending let the sadness stayed for a bit though, this was definitely THE turning point of the series.

It case no one has fully clarified... the Defense Against the Dark Arts teaching position is actually, literally cursed, and by none other than Voldemort himself. As he was preparing to graduate, Voldemort asked then-Headmaster Dippet if he could remain at Hogwarts as the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. He really only wanted a way to remain above suspicion while recruiting the best and brightest of Hogwarts students to his cause. Dippet refused, saying he was too young and to try again in the future. If I remember correctly, he did. When he did so, Dumbledore was the new Headmaster, and he had heard rumors of what Tom had been up to out in the world. He knew his motives and intentions were suspect, so he refused. After being turned down for the job, Voldemort put a curse on the position so that no single teacher would hold it for longer than a year. He did this in hopes that the inconsistency of training year after year would produce a generation of witches and wizards ill-prepared to defend themselves against the dark arts, overall making him and his supporters stronger. Overall, it both did and did not work as he intended. It did work in the sense that they had some terrible teachers who held the position and taught nothing useful (like Lockhart and Umbridge). It did not work in that there were also plenty of good teachers who held the position, who were able to pass on plenty of worthwhile knowledge from a variety of backgrounds and experiences (like Lupin, Snape, and even Pseudo-Moody).
