Please take this as a gentle suggestions and not a mean criticism, but I am very sensitive to mouth sounds, and for whatever reason your mic is picking them up a lot. I don’t know if a wind screen or a pop filter would help out with those. But it might be worth considering. Thanks.
Zen - not a problem. i am looking for all types of feedback aimed at enhancing the content. I have been gradually improving elements. On the previous video a lot of hum was coming through despite a reasonable effort. I have since upgraded my editing environment and can finally apply noise reduction filters. What bothers me is why I am getting noise in the first place which include occasional pops. My best guess is that my Canon 77D only has a MIC IN port and not a LINE IN port and I am feeding it a LINE signal from my MOTO M4 audio interface. Looking at camera specific solutions which provide a MIC level signal to the camera. As this channel hasn’t monetized yet everything is straight out of pocket right now - I’ll get there - until then I am seeking creative ways to raise the quality without a large investment. What you are hearing may be resolved with a wind screen and a glass of water. I’ll keep trying-Jon
I think there is an asymmetry between the Visual and the Acoustical part of the system. The TV is too small for this very capable audio setup (especially after the upgrades, presented in your later videos). A Projector (with a screen of 100 inches or more) would make the system great.
Your suggestion makes sense. I have been holding off investing in the screen while there has been a lot of technological movement over the past decade. Perfecting other parts first
