Hear and feel colors, too. The crackle of fire, the warmth of it on a cold day, the tinkling of fine snow against the limbs of trees and that slight cold burn from the wind. Also, lmao @ hyper diaper. I don't have kids of my own, but I've helped with enough to know those two words should NEVER be uttered together!
I love these art focus videos!!! Especially the 3d, doing it the "wrong way" is how you get unique style in my opinion and if done well helps your game stand out in a positive way. This scene came out really gorgeous and screams your 2d style in 3d, really cool to see the new skill set from your work on twisted tower!
I feel like you're getting back to a more authentic Thomas Brush, which has been missing a bit for a while. Always been a fan of you're work and support the grind you were doing, but there is something special here again.
Thomas, for some reason, I find it that I am more inclined to watch your videos about game development marketing. I guess I could use these videos when I start making games with levels. Keep up with the good work!
Love this, would love more of these. As someone with zero art skills, I struggle with art style and art direction. Finding or making assets that follow the art you start with. I noticed you glossed over a very important thing with your character controller in the scene when you were scaling the trees. Perspective matters from within the game view. I realized arbitrary measurements can be enormous or too tiny.
Damn man! I love this! Sometimes I just need people to give me a way to start. I just finished a class at UMGC that took me through the basics but this helps me a lot. Thanks dude!
Love the video, just wondering if you could go a bit more in depth about the normal map part? Do I just paint over a non baked tangent normal map image however I feel? Or is there a certain method? Definitely would love to see more videos like this!
Well my process is bit different, i hope m not doing wrong. So its begain with placing Models, create terrain around it and with little bit model placement correction freeze the scene.
Thomas accidentally throwing in the lip smacking from "that's a 10" video. XD (if you're reading this, Thomas... go look it up. It's short and It'll brighten any day. lol) Edit: Dang, Thomas... someone is feelin' awesome today. lol! Ride the wave, brother!
I'm having a right nightmare downloading Unity 6. It keeps getting stuck at 99%, and I know my laptop is good enough cos it's a Lenovo Legion 5... Do you know how to fix it?

You gotta make more of this art videos. It totally helps us programmers understand more about arts.
I think you've found a winning mix between Bob Ross aesthetic, Tiny Glade, and Thomas Brush. I'm all here for it.
I LOVE these art videos you've been doing! They're so high quality.
These cartoon styles on unity really are very indie developer friendly. i see why you recommend it as a good choice
dude im actually speechless that scene is so beautiful and full of character
I really like the "I'll do it my way" attitude! Very nice video :)
It's actually much better than "industry standuhrdz"
@@ArksideGames Yeah, sure. Go ahead and use Photoshop instead of Substance. It's not like Substance was designed for this purpose alone or anything.

More of these types of videos would be awesome Thomas!!! I've watched this numerous times already
I feel like you're getting back to a more authentic Thomas Brush, which has been missing a bit for a while. Always been a fan of you're work and support the grind you were doing, but there is something special here again.
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the new direction.
Hey Thomas, awesome tutorial! I'd love to see a full version, especially with materials and URP. Thanks!

Hi can you make a video about how you creat the shader for the scene? 😊😊
Love the video, just wondering if you could go a bit more in depth about the normal map part? Do I just paint over a non baked tangent normal map image however I feel? Or is there a certain method? Definitely would love to see more videos like this!

Sublime rhymes!
Hi, Thomas. Let's make a beautiful snowy scene
this clean terrain texture, how?
really epic! and funny hahaha
Can you do a tutorial about your music workflow, thank you.
Please make a video on how I could make a stylized skybox
@thomasbrush how did you manage to create a cell shaded look for the terrain?
Nice job!
I Love It!
Oh a Corpse for the final touch xD

Luv U dude..!
Did you use a skybox or a plane for the distant bg/moon?
2:47 substance has a time and a place; and its not stylized pieces imo
URP or HDRP ?
Also , is this the new look for father ?
I'm having a right nightmare downloading Unity 6. It keeps getting stuck at 99%, and I know my laptop is good enough cos it's a Lenovo Legion 5... Do you know how to fix it?
0:23 Some people can. It's called synesthesia.
Whoa
My problem happen before that process, the why lol 😂
Ladies & Gents, Tom can't pronounce Crayon
This is THE RIGHT WAY TO SAY IT.
Somehow my scene is all brown and yellow ...
Change some stuff in post processing
Bob brush
That’s nice but I’ve no idea what you’re doing so it’s not really helpful without details.
