I've been singin' this song at every home bbq since my kids were born! (at least, what I could recall from 40-yrs ago). No burger is served at my house without it. I don't know why it came to me to go looking for it tonight. Thanks for posting.
Here we come on the run with a burger on a bun and a dab of COLESLAW on the side For your taste we will tickle with a cold dill pickle and all of our potatoes are french fried fried fried Our burgers can't be beat cause we grind our own meat grind grind grind grind grind Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble are to blame for all of our troubles AND IF THEY THINK THAT WE'LL FORGET? They're out of their mind mind mind mind mind
Imagine Fred and Barney's shocking surprise when Wilma&Betty did their version of the Burger On A Bun Jingle. The very same little musical number that the 2 dancing waitresses Gyndelyn& Daisy did who were under the employers Fred and Barney in the restaurant to advertise their business. Fred tried to hide the identities of the waitresses over the phone referring to them as Charlie and Irving Because Wilma was peering down his neck. After hearing that they had quit their jobs Wilma and Betty searched all over town until they came upon the restaurand cohorsed Gwendolyn and Daisy in to quitting their jobs and borrowing their uniforms Obviously their business came to an abrupt halt and to further punish. Fred and Barney thought they were in the clear when they took the girls out to a real restaurant the Rockadaro only to find that the joke hadn't really been played as Wilma&Betty Reprised the Burger on a bun jingle And dance and belittled Fred and Barney at the Rockadaro restaurant. Then to rub more salt in Fred and Barney wounds they call themselves... you guessed it Charlie and Irving.
"Here we come on the run with a burger on a bun/And a dab of cole slaw on the side/Oh your taste we will tickle with a cold dill pickle/And all of our potatoes are french fried fried fried/Our burgers can't be beat 'cause we (I could never make out that part)/Fry fry fry fry fry/When you drive away/A tip upon our tray/We hope to find find find find find/We hope to find find find find fi-yi-yind!" Not a bad recollection, considering I haven't seen that cartoon since the early '70s!
@reubengutt I think you have this confused this was the original Flintstone episode from 1960 with voices Joyce Vanderbelt a 60's tv actress as Wilma and Bea Benderett as Betty who went on to do the series Petticoat Junction after the 4th season of The Flintstones she died in 68 from lung cancer.
Wilma starts out with blue hat, and Betty with a green hat. Yet it ends with Wilma wearing the green hat, and Betty wearing the blue. But they never swap hats.
@ioxxd90 I'm glad to hear your coworkers had such a good sense of humor and went with your joke. Unfortunately, most of the places I've worked cut you off at the knees if you laugh too hard. Anyway, I remember this song well. It was a winner, wasn't it? Cheers.
@jared1847823487 Thanks for the response. "Grind their own meat" makes sense, as does "grind grind grind grind grind". As for "dab of coke" or "dab of cole slaw", well, as I said I was operating from a dimming memory of nearly 40 years ago. Thanks for the assist, Jared!
It IS "a dab of cole slaw," and can easily be heard as such. A "dab" of Coke makes no sense (nor would the use of the brand name). A dab is defined as "a small amount," and Coke is not a side dish. Crikey!
0:46 Me when someone insults me in any way and I insult them back to get them to understand how I feel. I have autism if anyone understands it, so we autistics are more sensitive than you think.
@@roberthenderson6247 But if any lady did that to me like Wilma and Betty did to Fred and Barney, she would have had my feelings hurt bad enough for me that I would have just glared at them in the eyes and ignored them as best as possible until she apologizes to me, but the truth is, I never get apologized to often enough when I need to be.
@elc1960 I think it's a 'dab of coke' on the side and the potatoes are 'deep' fried, fried, fried. The reason their burgers can't be beat is because they 'grind' their own meat ... grind, grind, grind, grind, grind.
Now ya see Why Fred and Barney shrank from embarrassment when Wilma and Betty performed it they were grimacing when Gwendolyn and Daisy the two car hops were singing that song. Wilma&Betty performed that little number just to teach the boys a lesson from keeping their restaurant business a secret from them.
0:46, these ladies sure put their husbands on blast. 🤦🏾♂️😄
Once you hear this song, its with you for life.
"And if they think that we'll forget, they're out of their minds, minds, minds, minds, minds!!"
Best part.
OMG..i had people at work laughing when I just jumped up and sang this song on a very stressful day.

Great Stuff!
It's all Fred Flintstone and Barney rubble's fault
The flintstones
@pinbo45
I did not know that! Very interesting indeed!
It's better when Charlie and Irving sing it.
0:46 Me when someone insults me in any way and I insult them back to get them to understand how I feel. I have autism if anyone understands it, so we autistics are more sensitive than you think.
Well Wilma and Betty were tough so they always seem to get their way at times with Fred and Barney not all the time but on occasion.

Nope a dab if coleslaw on the side. Or your taste we will tickle with a cold dill pickle...ect, ect.
Wilma and Betty grind their own meat....
jjjjjjaaaaaaaaaaaaa cuntos años pasaron
Lot of salt in that performance
A "dab" of Coke? Really? SMH. Everyone's favorite side dish, especially by the "dab."
test
I found this song very annoying
