The identity of each Indian must be just INDIAN . When you add prefixes to it you simply create more reasons for identity politics and fault lines . There is a huge difference between saying I am a North Indian ( as if North Indian is a different kind of Indian ) and saying I am an indian from Delhi or Chandigarh or like the lady said ' from north side ' .

When Collin Powell became the first black secretary of state for the US people started to say that " USA has a black secretary of state "..To this Mr Powell strongly objected by telling that such terminology sends a wrong message ..US has no black or which secretary of state - There is just one secretary of state and he /she can happen to be white or black .

I've had many chances with the lighter Indians here in Africa but I couldn't indulge any further because of the strict muslim culture. They may want us but they they also fear dealing with their strict families. One thing I learned is that if they love you dearly they are willing to change to accommodate us.

See there is nothing wrong with saying you won’t date black guys. Honestly I think black people appreciate honesty more than fake statement or atleast that’s what I noticed about black people since i know tons of them from school college and gas station I used to work. I know a lot of black people, they are very upfront about everything and honestly it’s fun talking to them if they consider you a friend that is.
