Career forum at the Newford Student Day 2024

On the 23rd of October the Newford Farm Skrine , Co Roscommon hosted over 180 students from Galway, Kildalton, Mountbellow, Ballyhaise, Pallaskenry & Gurteen colleges. The students along with their teachers were broken up into groups and did a tour of 5 different information stands. After tea/coffee refreshments provided by Dawn Meats, the Career forum took place. Chaired by Keith Fahy, Drystock Advisor Athenry, the forum provided an opportunity for the attending students to get an insight into the lives of four young Ag. graduates and their careers so far. The panel consisted of Stephen Frend, Newford Farm manager, Danny Doyle Teagasc student of the year 2023, Sarah Burke , Student in Teagasc Grange, under Mark McGee and Eddie O Riordan andDawn Meats Operation Graduate Cora Hogan.
