All the negative comments about a Chevy in a Ford must be from people who've never been to a street rod event. Other than a Flathead, it's rare to see any pre-war Ford street rod with anything other than a Chevy engine in it. Not unheard of, but unusual.
I'm not for any brand particularly, but it would make the build a lot nicer to have some Ford power plants possibly of the era. I mean heck a couple 300 straight sixes would be cooler than just tossing Chevy engines on there.
Can we give credit to the way Ford overbuilt the 9 inch diff.
It's all about the angles
Old school mechanic once told me “you wanna go fast on dirt, Dana 60
You wanna go fast on pavement, Ford 9 inch.”
Even as a Aussie Holden fan who goes to Bathurst to fight ford fans and hates ford, I have to respect the ford 9 inch diff.
