They should patch this out with Luigi saying "you have to make it accessible to everyone bro,so you must relocate it".In case one gets passed,you end up paying money for every time it is not found.Like if play is 100 coins you pay 75% of that amount being 25 coins earned.Besides it's unfair for beginners and should be obtained through normal means.

I do know how to roll cancel clip (Though, I do suck at it), but I just don't think there's any gratification to hiding balloons with it. What's far better is if your balloon stays active while still readily available to everyone who doesn't happen to know tedious tricks for clipping out of bounds. I just try to find a good hiding spot, and then get to there as fast as possible. I have a few spots I am proud of~

Balloons that require clever jumps are loads of fun. These balloons ruin the fun because they use cheap tricks rather than parkour skill. Glad they’re getting exposed so the fun balloons can get more attention
I love that feeling you get when you pull off an cool parkour trick to get to a hard to reach spot and successfully hide a balloon there...grant it I hate it when someone already knows that parkour trick... :(

Granted, it's a dick move, but don't downplay the skill it takes to do this within 30 seconds.

Right now I played some clearly amazing levels because some people are brilliant at this game and they force me to that good as well.

Glitches are fun, yes. But not when they're ruining others times.

One thing they should do is make the balloon collide with the floor, so if mario tries to go out of bounds the balloon will stay IN bounds

What Nintendo needs is a system of identifying OoB Balloons and removing them as soon as they're identified.
You guys are missing the point of how this is going to work. If nintendo adds a patch to odyssey for balloon world then that means all the balloons you placed will be reset.
I honestly wouldn't mind that if that means that the cheaters would be banned.

EdgySpanishJedi nah doing glitch is a part of what makes a game fun to play when you finished it. it’s always fun to goof around and it’s not my fault if you have no skill at all. i don’t mind reporting actual hacker hacking a game but glitcher is just not the same, they’re just using the game at it’s full potential

While I greatly appreciate the exposition of these cheaters, as well as a solution, this video will unfortunately lead to more people becoming cheaters. Not your fault, though. Don't beat yourself up about it.
Well maybe once the leaderboards are half or more glitched balloons Nintendo will be incentivized to patch it.
I like how you said dont beat yourself up over it, as if the poster wasn't going to be able to sleep because of it. Regardless if more people know how to access the areas then the game becomes fair since out of bounds bloons aren't unreachable anymore

Filumbitu Not true at all. In fact I don’t think they will ever patch it even if 100% of all balloons are cheated. Look at what happened with the jump rope glitch. They fixed it ONLY AFTER a major release. Letting all those 99999 cheaters stay there. Thats why I don’t just oush for Nintendo to be far more diligent in patching buggy games by instilling harsh punishments for those who cheat like this. Just ban them from all online activity in SMO if they jse any cheats to do any online activity. That includes jump rope glitches, balloons and koopa races, just ban them. Personally I would give them 2 weeks for 1st offence, 2 months for 2nd offense. 6 months for 3rd offense, and any more past that and your banned from all SMO online activity.

Tbh, nintendo should get some sort of banning system for balloon world. Like, maybe you can report a balloons placement if its out of bounds. Then Nintendo can look at it and decide if the user is punished or not. The punishment would probably be not being able to play Ballooon World for a certain time period, that period of time getting bigger and bigger the more balloons they glitch, eventually leading to a perm ban from balloon world.
Lilah Bugg I mean yeah but there are always the sorts of people that abuse that sort of option. A pissed off player could report a user’s balloon because that was too hard for them to find even though it was in bounds.
I see that scenario as very unlikely, Spaceghostdragon. There will be way more upset people about a glitched balloon compared to just a really hard one that a couple raged at. There have been plenty of things that have a "report users" option that do not affect the innocent with someone's false reports.
Zeniphierial F’real? Huh. Maybe I don’t trust people in the video game community with not letting their salt get the best of them.
The only times I've seen an option to report a user punish an innocent is either when:
A) The person was wrongly accused of wrongdoing by someone with a large following.
B) When someone with a large following manipulates their followers to attack an innocent.
C) Organized sabotage by a large group of people.
And these don't make a dent compared to the number of people that will report something as specific as "the balloon is out of bounds." Those "large followings" would only be a small portion of the mass of people that is everyone that uses Switch's online service and Mario Odyssey.
Some people say it's fine because these clips are hard to pull off, BUT YOU'RE NOT MEANT TO GO OUT OF BOUNDS IN THE FIRST PLACE!

This is a fantastic video. That way, EVERYONE will know how to clip out of bounds and pop balloons in Odyssey so that cheaters will no longer have the will to hide these balloons!
I think you can no longer place balloons in glitches cause none of them were in the spots.

Now that’s a bit extreme, and let’s face it. It’s technically NOT cheating. I mean by usual standards, yes they are cheating especially if a casual player were to try and find it. But in reality, they are just abusing the mechanics of the game to have the ballon in a usually non-accessible area. Which in my book, wouldn’t be cheating. The game says to hide the ballon, which they are. So I don’t think anyone should get any punishment. If Nintendo doesn’t want this, they could patch it. But getting a permanent ban for abusing the mechanics of the game, seem far too extreme to me.

There's two types I've come across in Sand Kingdom.
One is directly below the starting point, and the other is in the bottom-left corner of Moe-Eye Habitat.
The Moe-Eye ones are less than 18 seconds.

I love an occasional glitch that's easy and not CHEATING but with new glitches like these in real-world competitions you can abuse peoples coins and make them feel discouraged

looking at the kingdoms, the only kingdoms without out of bounds clips are cap, wooded, snow, bowser, and moon (and maybe luncheon? i know there used to be an out of bounds clip, not sure if it got patched). there may be an out of bounds clip that i don't know, but that is what i came up with... all other kingdoms have out of bounds. moon kingdom has one, but you wouldn't be able to do it in balloon world due to needing a frog, which is behind the church, and you don't have enough time to get it and then do the clip.
Nintendo should make a barrier in the out of bounds areas that stop you from placing balloons there, like how they did when you fall and try to place a balloon
I think I came across that Colby guys balloon in the metro kingdom. Had no idea where that balloon was and lost. That sucked since I was almost about to complete the winning streak rank.

The title encourages people not to use/pursue these spots, but I'm certain that a few days ago, I looked for your Cascade and Lake balloons because I recognized your username, and they were right inside the very walls shown in this video. I didn't bother to try any more of your balloons afterwards.
*_2 solutions._*
1, register all out of bounds areas as a place where balloons cannot be placed. Luigi will place it in the nearest spot that is actually in-bounds.
Because 1 would take a lot if work, the other solution is
2, integrate a reporting system. You can report balloons for being placed out of bounds, and if multiple people report a balloon for the same reason, the balloon is taken down from the charts.
The balloon will still exist and be able to be found via code, but it won't be public any more.
And to add onto the 2nd one, the coolest idea would be to add an out of bounds chart.
When uploading a balloon, you can set it as an "Out of Bounds" balloon. Then it will be added to a special out of bounds "find it" chart, for people who want to experiment with glitches and clipping.
Of course, this would never happen, but man that'd be cool.

Hey Beardbear do 7 more glitches that you should avoid in luigi's balloon world because in luigi's balloon world I found a different glitch in lost kingdom that is not the pipe but in the mountain
Imagine if when you did one of these hiding spots Luigi would say "Hey! That's-a not-a nice!" and ask you to hide it somewhere else. If you kept using glitch hiding spots, he would say "That's-a it, bro" and give you a game over.
Or instead imagine this. If you kept using glitch hiding spots, he would give you unlimited coins to buy all the outfits and power moons so you could stop playing this game and move on to another one.

I can't speak for anyone else but i personally have already beat the story, beat the post game, beat both dark side and darker side, got 999 power moons and am currently working on buying the last of the outfits. Once i get those there is no more reason to keep playing. Glitching my balloons is a great way to get passive coins so i don't have to drive myself insane doing bowsers keep and wooded kingdom over and over and over again. I swear to god if i hear that damn minigame song one more time I'm going to shoot myself!
When I play balloon world I sometimes get a balloon in snow kingdom that is 70-80 meters behind me, it turns out somehow people got a balloon up to the painting area you would access with a huff n puff, but you can’t, there isn’t enough time, and it keeps pissing me off, will you please help? Thx, great vid btw :D
+Rocky The only way to get up to the painting area without going through the painting was with the wet nut glitch which was patched, so idk how people are getting it up there.

Can you give us a tutorial on how exactly how to Roll Wall-clip? I tried a bunch of times and still fails....
MasacoMike You have to ground pound roll towords the wall when your right against it then cancel the roll right befkre bonking (By pressing Y and B together. ) If done correctly you should clip right through the wall. Hope this helped.

If you use a glitch to hide a balloon you’re basically saying “I’m not creative enough to find and actually good and challenging spot”
Brinsk or you’re just bored cause its a game, games are meant to entertain and do whatever you want most of the time.
I think it's fine before paying the coins look at where the arrow is if you think it's oob then don't pay just check other balloons and pay to play those ones instead, remember if you don't pay for the one oob then the user who hid it won't get any money
Be aware that most of those clips are the same clip in many locations, and that clip was partially patched in the update, making it pretty much frame-perfect, and each individual frame in the game is 1/60th of a second, so it's almost impossible to do.
It only took me a few tries to do it on the metro kingdom building near the balloon world start

There is one on SeaSide Kingdom that I have been trying to figure out. In only 6 seconds they hid the balloon nearly 300m away. See if you can figure it out!

I was doing balloon world in the Mushroom Kingdom today, and the radar showed the balloon to be under the bridge to Peach's castle. There is a dark gray part and that is where the balloon was but it was inside the wall. I couldn't get to it because I didn't know the glitch. These glitch balloons suck.
I hate these people. They had to ruin Luigi's new work. I hope they get banned. It would be great if Nintendo puts an option like "report this balloon".
