I like how Luigi has the opportunity to travel all around the world wherever and whenever he wants, and he spends time operating basically a roadside attraction involving hiding balloons from people. He could be out having his own adventures, rescuing princesses, but he just doesn't. Instead of continuing to try to follow in his brother's shadow, which he realizes he can never live up to, he's stepped up for himself and does what he wants to do in life. He doesn't want to be loved as a hero, he doesn't need to romance himself into royalty, rescue the entire galaxy, or save anyone from being married that doesn't want to. Luigi just wants to be a self-employed business man and letting other people have fun with an idea he's come up with. He saw Mario go off on a grand adventure across the globe, and this is what he did instead of trying to follow in his footsteps and get left in the dust, he stepped up for himself. He put himself out there in the world, and finally pursued his own interests. Look at how scared he is in Luigi's mansion. You think he wants to be risking his life in a haunted death mansion where even his own brother couldn't survive? Hell no. But he perserveres because he loves him. And now, he's gone and made his own business making millions off of people. Godspeed, Luigi. Godspeed.

I put my Lost Kingdom balloon in the Captain Toad area, but it was my first time ever being there, meaning all of the massive coin stacks were still there which let me shed off lots of time.

There is another glitch allowing you to hide balloons in stupid places
In Metro there is the RC car building with the challenge for time. Perpendicular to and next to the building (next to the npc) there is a wall that you can clip through with a ground pound then a roll. You can also go into other out of bounds buildings. I do not do this as it is unfair but don't know why it was not mentioned (sorry if my comment seemed like an essay).

Not too many people know this, there's an issue with your time trial balloons. When you hide a balloon, if you run out of time and hide it where you are, it give players an extra TEN SECONDS to find your balloon! Seriously!

It’s not a bug, if you hide your balloon using all 30 seconds, then it would be extremely difficult as people would have to do it just like you. And considering that people might not even know where it is exactly, the extra time is really helpful.

In the Moonworld, the last spot you show isn't really that hard to catch. You can use those Speed Flowers to get there even with some seconds left. Try the spot you show before, but this time using the flower to get on top of the mountain next to the odyssey ;)

The first one at 8:24 has a faster route but can be even harder, ground pound roll to the front left at the start (if you don’t know what I mean, ground pound and keep holding ZL then once you land press y and you gain instant momentum) long jump before you hit the ledge, then throw out your hat dive on it then dive again to get onto the left side. Once you are there, keep rolling along the platform (without falling in the acid) jump, then dive to get up (the first few times you do it, you can wall jump to be safe instead of diving right away) roll towards the corner towards the same spark pylon where you should see a gold spike thing (I don’t know what else to call it) jump on it and ground pound roll towards the spark pylon, you will gain just enough distance to be able to throw out cappy jump on him throw out cappy again and have him home onto the spark pylon, make sure to keep shaking your controller to get the coins and your there.

The very concept of a "The Best Hiding Spots" video is counterintuitive because then the fact that people know about them immediately makes them much worse.
That meaning people will never want to hide there by using inverted psycology and then it's safe so there's a paradox
@@Blancodraws If only it worked that conveniently. Sadly, if people are aware of a place to hide something, *someone* out there is gonna use it, whether it's a good idea or not. That's how the internet works.
In Wooded Kingdom, I've found that putting a balloon in the grate area under the place where you fight the Broodal in the main game is really hard to get to. Also, an easier way of hiding the one in the Metro Kingdom is to use the Pilons to climb the biggest tower, then hit the P-Switch to create the platforms, and then roll off of them onto the building.
I love how every time a video like this gets made, it immediately becomes irrelevant as more and more people use these spots, making them common and well-known.
Off topic, but the Bowser’s Kingdom song is freakin’ awesome
I discovered an exploit in the seaside kingdom that allows you to get to the platform that the "secret path" moon is on without using paintings or warping with a checkpoint.
Step 1: capture a gushen
Step 2: get on top of the pillar that one of the kingdom story moons is on. The lighthouse doesn't give enough height and the one near Captain Toad is too far away.
Step 3: collect the transparent moon to replenish the gushen's water. If the moon doesn't show up in LBW, then you might not be able to hide the balloon up there.
Step 4: gush up and toward the secret path platform. Once you hit max height, stop gushing upward and only gush forward.
Step 5: once you get close enough to the platform that you can wall jump off it and dive back on, uncapture and do the actions I just stated. Uncapture only when you touch the platform because the midair cap bounce is uncharged after uncapturing.
Step 6: collect the moon, hide your balloon, or just do whatever you wanted to do up there. This is unfortunately not a way to reach bowser's kingdom early as the painting will be deactivated if you have not been there yet.
On the cap kingdom, this one dude hid it on one of the warning signs

Also in the sand kingdom, Ive hid my Kirby balloon there on the very edge where the 8-Bit section is it’s really easy to get there

6:50 fearsome fire hid a balloon that has to small amount of time to go around with the lava bubble forcing the player to Cappy roll jump and do insane hat throws and wall jumps to make it around to the lava bubble area

The balloon at the pyramid entrance in the sand kingdom is actually really easy to get cos there's a catapult on the ground that just fires you into it. I I just use the people that have hidden their balloons there to farm coins.

There's a much better spot in Seaside Kingdom, hiding it at the secret path to Bubblaine where the portrait at Bowsers Kingdom takes you, yeah you can get there in balloon world

In wooded you can grab the glydon, fly down to the coin coffer and capture it. This will give you coins which will give you extra time, then recapture the glydon and fly down to where the broodal battle took place and place it as soon as possible, it can be truly and took me multiple tries
If I'm not mistaken, you can pop balloons as a capture, even as the T Rex or the rubber cactus. Those spots aren't as good when you realize that.
The best Sand Kingdom spot is the Moe-Eye Habitat. Most pros have a finding time of 13 seconds for these. Not sure how they do it, though.
The 2nd best Lake Kingdom spot, easier than the secret area jump, is on the high floor of the dome. You can get up there easily if you know how to do it, with a finding time of around 7 seconds, though varies based on where exactly it is.
The Lost Kingdom's tree hole spot doesn't need a Wiggler. Most players get in there without it to go faster. I've hidden my balloon around the Odyssey's area, but no one knows how to get there fast enough.

For Luncheon Kingdom, DGR Dan hid a balloon on a mountain near the plaza. Fearsome Fire also hid a balloon on the other side of a volcano. Go see Fearsome's videos to watch him do these tricky jumps.
Bowser's Kingdom, I've seen a spot where a balloon was hidden in the area with wooden blocks (which can be seen from the starting point). It's tricky, but you can break the boxes by smacking them with Cappy (I mean press Y while touching them), then diving.
I've hidden a few balloons around the Talkatoo's area in Moon Kingdom, but no one seems to be fast enough to get it.
With a series of good jumps, Cappy bounces, and wall jumps, you can speedrun to the top of Peach's castle without using the scarecrows.
The best hiding spots are the ones that require skill from a player because it doesn't matter if they know where it is or not they need to have really good skill to get it

To get onto the edge of the moon kingdom, you can simply do a long tricky jump from the other side with a boost from a flower and reach it in twenty seconds !
The wiggler room in lost kingdom can be gotten into by rolling off the starting platform, going into camera mode and turning towards the hole, and diving in. This is way harder but works very well
For the moon kingdom: A good place is behind the sphinx's head, i got 333 coins from 1 person trying it :P

For the Luncheon part, the way I got to the other platform was using your route, except I grabbed the heart on the top a of the yellow pumpkin between the two pillars at the starting point, then the coins above the hotdog stand and then I made my way to the end with a lava bubble

In the lost kingdom you can hide your balloon in the cageon the tree, if you do it just right, it will be very hard to get to as there won't be much time.

In the wooded kingdom, there's a crawl spot near the goombas you can get there quickly by executing a ground-pound roll, a long jump, cappy dive and boom you're at the goomba place.

In the lost Kingdom, you know that place where you need an Glidon to get to the tiny island over there?
Use an Roll-Cancel Vector to get there faster,and since it’s much faster than using the capture many people will fail.
So yeah so long as you do it fast and properly it’s gonna be quite a nice spot.
For the wooded kingdom you can also put it in the hidden room at very back of the kingdom all you have to do is jump down the ledge where you start at you ma6 think you are going to die but you have to dive at the right time and land in the hidden room that contains the 2d pipe

A really good hiding spot in Luncheon Kindom is when you turn into a Lava Bubble at the old town and go into a hole in a wall almost below the starting point.

I think the sand kningdom, with it being just a small kingdom and a dessert makes for easy finds and win streaks. That's how I got maxed out in coins 3 TIMES in 1 and 1/2 hours

is your balloon still in the cascade kingdom?
Some of the Seaside Kingdom balloons I’ve seen are in the Sparkle Water jar. They are at the bottom or somewhere else. I hid mine under the floating cap.
In the wooded Kingdom I used a roll cancel vector to reach the other side of the map in under ten seconds. I've tested it and other methods physically can't get you there in time.

The Impossible Ledge In The Snow Kingdom
One of my favourite spots in the seaside kingdom is to capture a gushen, and jet up to the end of rolling shell section.
In the wooded kingdom in the goomba love area, there's a tiny hole you can roll into to get some purple coins. Put it in the back of there because you can't use Cappy while crouched.

Andy Davis no it cant first of all you have to beat the game to get the game mode and second if you already had it then when you exit it it would take you back to the start. next time play the game
For the Bowsers kingdom one if you land on the little white part at the top and roll you can make it down and skip the first roof and go strait to the place with the water
Here is a cool trick: after wall jumping, you can’t dive in the same direction as the wall efficiently unless you throw your hat in that direction first , it also will give you a bit of a hight boost!

In the moon kingdom you can place the ballon on the ledge of the 2d section which is much harder than just running to the end of the kingdom
my favorite hiding spot in the lost kingdom is in the cage the moon is in. (it takes me the full 30 seconds to break the cage and run back to it to place the balloon there)
All these Spots are bad now except for the Seaside one, and Luncheon!
