    I use a 2 filter system , one that’s a bit different than this which separates out the water first and then one like this to do the final drying.
    I did notice that my tank feels a lot slower now just because I have two other tanks to pressurize first which really lengthen my fill times.
    I know the air that I’m getting is nice and dry and clean, but it sure takes a while

    Just found the channel and subbed. I have to admit I’ve gone with every bit of advice Will has offered and it’s all been solid advice. I also got the same separator because mr. Teach shared the link

    Great water/oil separator. I've got the exact same one only in gold. The only problem I've encountered is I can't find any replacement burst disks that fit it.

      How often are you changing the filter element?

  • @myohmy111

    Thank you for the video. I just received the exact same filter in the mail today! And I totally agree with you on the stealthiness of it! I had a hell of a time getting the existing filter out of the tube. I ended up putting a round porcelain rod into the tube and used a rubber mallet to finally knock it out. I checked your store for the O-rings and filter elements, no luck. I always like to have spare parts, do you have a suggestion where I might find the filter elements? I'm heading up to the Home Depot tomorrow and maybe a hardware store to get extra O-rings, but the filter elements I have no idea.

    What material is the inner transparent tube that holds the filter cartridges? Is it glass or some kind of plastic?

    Just curious does that cartridge come apart so you can refill with desiccant or do you have to buy a new one each time ? Thanks man

    • @WalnutandSteel
      @WalnutandSteel  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It does come apart. I have read where folks were buying cans of desicant and repacking them

    So I just got a new GXCS4 compressor. And I went to fill my brand new 6.8 L tank and I have 2 of the small 6 inch water filters. After running the compressor for three hours to fill the tank when I opened the blade off screw a lot of water came out. So I took about both filters and they were both soaking wet also so I assume my tank now has water in it. Will this filter stop that? And how often do you have to change the cartridges or can they be cleaned. Great video thank you so much.

    • @WalnutandSteel
      @WalnutandSteel  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure if this will remove the water from that long of a run.

    • @fredA1234
      @fredA1234 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So theoretically. If I fill the tank and then put the filter on the tank to fill the gun, I should be good.?

      I would think the charcoal first then the desiccant before entering the air reservoir of the air gun.

    • @Fazzwrld
      @Fazzwrld 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A chemist told me they would run the desiccant first, because the activated coal can do a better job cleaning once the moisture level in the gas is lowered.

    • @WalnutandSteel
      @WalnutandSteel  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t bought anything special. I can tell you that you will need a pair of whips(hoses) one with female quick connects on both ends and another one with a male and female
