      Thanks, Ryan! They keep sending 'em to me, I keep reviewing 'em! This little blue guy fills pretty dang fast, man! I'm impressed!
      If folks can't find that Makita bag; I linked the Tuxing bag that's designed for these. What you can also do is get a padded hard case, similar to a Pelican case, for these. They usually have a variety of sizes for cheap at Harbor Freight.

      @@airshootist I have a couple of those hard cases. The one that I have which is a deeper dimension, I have my external regulator stored in. The other one has two C02 pistols and the other has my Ruger SR9. My Nomad II came with a nice case. My GX Pump didn’t come with a case. It’s similar to your orange colored one. Nice shooting in your NRL22 match last weekend.

    I see your orange compressor had a code of E4 what happened there? And can a rebuild kit be bought for the little blue compressor? That one was really sweet.

    • @airshootist
      @airshootist  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      E4 seems like an error code but it's not. It just means it reached the autostop. Most my compressors actually use the same code, oddly

  • @jonmcclay

    When you mention the importance of not filling a bottle against pressure; does that mean I should only fill bottles that are empty?
    One would assume, but I wanted to ask.
    If they need to be empty, what is a safe way to release current pressure?

    • @airshootist
      @airshootist  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, it means do not stop the compressor to let it cool down without venting it and then start it up again while there is still pressure in the system.
      As long as you have a 1 way valve on your tank you're fine to top it off. If you have to open your valve on your tank because it doesn't have a 1 way valve (like a paintball fill nipple) then that's not good. You want to let these small shoebox compressors BUILD pressure, rather than start them up against pressure.

  • @andyprice4696
    @andyprice4696 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Got a question for you that might make a decent video since you have both rifles. Question is…. Why do people not compete with mavericks? It’s the same barrel system and it seems to be as rigid and quality made like the impact. But, all you ever see on the shooting line are impacts. Why is that?
    Also, question that is compressor related, do you start pumping with the bleed valve closed or leave it open and start the motor and then close it?
    Also…. When we getting a compressor give away??!!! Lol

    • @airshootist
      @airshootist  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Maverick is perfectly suitable for benchrest competitions. However, NRL22 is a different story. Since the stages are designed for .22LR rifles, and being that the Maverick is so tall, it does not fit in some obstacles. For example, shooting off the seat of the folding chair is a no-go, your scope will be staring at the chair back. Ladder rungs can be a problem, too.
      As far as your compressor questions: 1) always close the bleed valve first. No reason not to. 2) I've gotten burned on donating things so giveaways to randos aren't really my thing. I did give one to a buddy recently. I often give things that I receive to my close friends, I have a "when I win, you win" mentality with my homies.

    • @andyprice4696
      @andyprice4696 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@airshootist hey man, thanks for the reply and that makes sense. I just always wondered what the reasons were that you don’t see people shooting the maverick in competition. Mine is a tack driver.
      I was also just kidding with you about the give away hence the lol. Was just observing that you are flush with compressors these days! Good for your buddies.
      Where do you guys normally shoot your competition matches? I’m in northern kentucky but we don’t have much of an airgun or NRL scene around here that I have found

    • @airshootist

      If you sign up on Practiscore.com you can then find your local clubs and see what matches they are having. This is the #1 way to find any NRL22 matches as well as other firearms matches like 3 gun, steel outlaw matches, etc. if you shoot firearms also.

    That little vevor is priced right! Now, the burning question inquiring minds want to know. How long will it last?

    • @airshootist
      @airshootist  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      So I think a lot of these little compressors are either made in the same factory or at least use the same parts. I had a similar one that lasted about 1.5 years of HEAVY use before it got messed up. I maintenanced it but it never was the same after that. These things are a disposable product. With the price you pay and lasting 1-2 years of extremely heavy use, it will pay for itself in what it would have cost you to go to the scuba shop and fill guns/bottles that many times. With my competition use and heavy weekly shooting I use these WAY more than most people, so your mileage may vary.

    • @22LimaRomeo

      @@airshootist, little known fact.. it was a tricked out mk 2 Impact 30 cal that got me into precision shooting. But, I had to make a financial decision; airguns or Rimfire.
