It's theorised that there was originally a fireteam of six guardians - You're right abt Kabr and Pahanin, semi right about Praedyth escaping into a different simulation/timeline but the other three were ENTIRELY erased, which is why it would be inaccurate to say that Praedyth was erased from the timeline. If he had been, no traces of him would be left, it would be as if he had never BEEN in the VOG or in the fireteam, as with the theorised three "forgotten" members of the OG VOG fireteam
Plus most lore raid teams were always six.
I think Petra soloed last wish and the new raids were beaten by swarms of gardians like how lore wise we stormed the dreadnought
I mean, we have Eris' story as proof that raids by other fireteams of six happen.

Fun fact: Their fire team was sent in only a few weeks before we were. Time works differently inside the vault. Kabr was there for centuries to him but only weeks for us. Praedyth was straight up time nuked. Pahanin was sent backwards a few centuries which is why his gun had modern tech BUT he was killed by an ancient villain.

Ya that’s not why he made it at all… it doesn’t matter who remembers you, if the oracles erase you that’s it, you’re gone. No one remembers you there’s not a single trace of you in the timeline anymore, it’s as if you never existed.
The reason he made it is because the vault was so traumatic and scarred him so deeply that he never wanted to be alone again. So he made his gun sentient..

Don't forget the lore tab we have on the Last Wish auto, which talks about Praedyth participating in the great hunt, and wishing the glory of this combat would "never end..."

@donutgames29 Yeah so Praedyth got his wish of endless combat AND as we are finding out the great hunt really hasn't ended, the "monkeys paw," effect being that Praedyth suffers infinite death in a timeloop limbo that is VoG, and that due to the great hunt never truly ending, humanity should theoretically always have to deal with Ahamkara.

Kabrs light was so strong and his shield so powerful in general it became a relic of the witness's demise. Without it the guardian would've failed his mission to beat him

Praedyth was remembered simply because of his audio logs he left, im a huge fan of the theory that there was a full fireteam of 6, but they weren't remembered due to being wiped from the timeliness completely
You also missed the part where Kabr mainly went mad due to DRINKING Vex radiolaria. Man was nuts
What’s sad is there may have been more Guardians in the team but they likely entirely erased without anything or anyone to remember them or even their corpses held to be used as bargaining chips

The fact that Super Good Advice's exotic perk activated even when firing at oracles makes it even better! (It also worked on Oversoul in Crota's End)
What’s neat is that during the Great Hunt Praedyth said, “I wish the Hunt would *go on forever.*” The nearby bones of an Ahamkara granted that wish by focusing on the “go on forever” part which caused the Vex to trap him in the Vault Of Glass forever. Because Praedyth’s fall hasn’t happened yet, and it will happen again.
If the game had even a fraction of the power and entertainment from the lore, it would be infinitely better. Like the Praedyth’s Revenge sniper could be so much cooler, and the Trial of Kabr load zone could have some more of Kabr’s influence, as well as after defeating Atheon there was another ‘encounter’ where you would also have to escape the Vault like Pahanin. I will say though, these three of the fireteam were badasses. May the other forgotten three rest in eternal nonexistence.

Pahanin made super good advice because he never wanted to be forgotten because the vex erase people from existence entirely and he was so scared he would be forgotten he made a gun with an ai that remember him.

I remember reading that the hunter made the super good advice, a talking LMG that he built so that he wouldn’t be forgotten like the others almost were given how the VoG works.

It's the greatest failure on Bungie's part in my opinion. Legions of stories not cared for by of their design choices.

Then read a book. This is a videogame, an open world one where you can't tell a singular story, containing ALL the other ones.
The lore of destiny always blows me away. Honestly one of the reasons I still play this game because the universe excites me.

Praedyth also made a wish during the great hunt wishing he would be able to fight fun battles forever. And the community thinks thats why he was lost in time. Truly fighting forever
Lost but not forgotten. Passing through different Time Gates on a never ending quest for Epic battle and fun times. Yet never able to return home. Sounds to me like Destiny's version of Sam Beckett.
İ wish destiny was a bit grittier ingame to match the lore, at the moment it all just feels like MCU schlock and not the amazingly nuanced lore that I've come to love. The way guardians before us and after us strive to do what will help the one that comes after them no matter the consequences, is a lesson that many people in the real world need to learn.

@@Ananas_on_fire it was, and the aesthetic was more stylized too, but let's not fool ourselves, gameplay wise D2 is much better now, and does so many things right in comparison. Oh also no year long content droughts.

Yeah, when I've seen the live of TFS with the designers saying "we didn't want to do body horror" I was basically screaming to read the damn lore before doing terrible choices like that.

VoG had to be my favorite raid in destiny besides og crota days. Always loved the search for lore with friends, those were good memories.

My favorite theory for this fireteam is that there was actually 3 more of them, we just don’t know they exist because the vex wiped them completely, and unlike praedyth… we never found their traces

Kabr didn't forget his Fireteam because of the armor - he was dying of thirst and drank the radiolarium. It slowly began changing him to a Vex.

@SquaredPasta Saint 14 died, we saw his tomb that the Vex built him. We had to break time to bring him back.

The warlock escaped using an artifact which contained braytech scientists but where he ended up hasen't been explored yet

It was made from a guardian so technically it's not locked to the vault and could either know when it's needed or just be there by coincidence
I guess Praedyth wasn't so erased from existence if his skeletal remains are still in the vault of glass.
I still think he's gonna show up later in this episode. Maybe in the supposed new exotic mission
I was there Gandalf, when the Vault first opened, when we found the mythoclast.
Kabr is the ultimate chad his sacrifice has given us many and many victories in a plethora of activities

The raid will most likely stay up in the legends tab, but you have to still farm for the raid currency, even if it does make it to the kiosk.
@@jerrysama91I don't mind farming for raid currency if it ends up in the kiosk cause at least it'll be a guaranteed acquirement. Having the Vex Mythoclast drop from the raid is not guaranteed and some of my friends have ran the raid multiple times with no luck. Best bet would be to earn raid currency and get the Vex Mythoclast from the kiosk should it be available for purchase

Praedyth didn’t get erased from the timeline, if he did we wouldn’t know about it or even who he was because their would be no evidence left behind due to him never existing in the first place so all records of him would also disappear or be altered, the theory that there was a fireteam of 6 backs this up because it’s believed that those 3 guardians who would have made up the rest of the fireteam actually got erased and because of that everybody believes there was only 3 people who entered the vault. Praedyth was trapped in the vault and he didn’t get erased from time but got lost in it, being sent far into the future or the past and maybe an entirely different timeline or reality all together and even though his body can be found it’s theorised that he is still out there somewhere.

People think it was originally a fireteam of 6 but 3 were litterally wiped from the timeline. The remaining 3 are remembered bc they left parts of themselves behind, warlock left messages and his bones (the other 3 got fucking evaportrd probabky) titan made himself into the shield and the hunter made a gun so he would remember he existed to stop himself being erased which let him leave.
