Thank you so much for this walkthrough! I played D1 back in the day and a little bit of D2 but left for other games a few years ago. My squad came back in January and we're all wanting to raid again but felt embarrassed to join LFG groups because we know the raid, but only from D1. This was super helpful to be able to join groups confidently and jump right back in! BTW I got Vex Mythoclast on my second run last night... My buddies were all super jealous of my luck! But it took me HUNDREDS of runs in D1 to get it so I'd say karma balances out. Plus I'll keep running this with them until we all get it!
@@KOTHASgaming Right?! I think three people in that run got one! But I was the only newbie to get it. Wild rng on that one. I'll definitely pay it forward by running it with teammates as many times as needed! I really appreciate guides like this, it helps me work through the rust to remember the basics and then learn what players ACTUALLY do now in 2024. Very helpful!
Great idea for a series, this was exactly what I was looking for in a refresher! It’s always a little confusing watching old guides that suggestion weapons/tactics that are no longer meta.
Do you run any encounters differently? Also, leave me some feedback so I can make this series as helpful to everyone as possible! Next up - King's Fall!
An Eager Edge sword can be acquired from Dares of Eternity normally OR you can just get Falling Guillotine from playing Onslaught which would be the easiest way until Onslaught leaves on June 4 with the release of The Final Shape.
I want to play this game again, but havent played in probably 7 years. Is it easy to get into again and update your gear? Are servers still up? I want to do this and taken king, but it’s been so long. I’m in my 30’s now 😂
Im really interested in this idea but I see some miss info with templar and atheon. With templar the eager edge instant super relic method makes it a lot easier for quicker damage without having to wait for negation and for atheon its one of the easiest one phases in the game if you spam high damage grenades like magnetic and fusion nades, verity's pumps out about 4-5mil damage a phase with no heavy damage because of the massively increased damage and regen time of abilities thanks to the atheon buff.
I thought about including Verity's in there, but decided against it. Even got footage for it. Trying to walk the line of recommending both the best and most accessible strats for as many people as possible. In hindsight I should have added it in there. I personally haven't seen the Templar Eager Edge method, but I know most teams are just using Rockets because nothing is easier than "point rocket at enemy and shoot".
Why would you have people jump off on Templar, you can all cleanse together or just do three oracles, youve just done seven, I will never understand why every single LFG does this
This video is "how people actually do it", not the technical correct way to do it. Unfortunately, VoG is so abysmal in terms of loot you can get, that most LFG just don't find it worth it to do the full mechanics and would rather just get through it as quickly as possible. But if you prefer doing it the "correct" way, do it!
Those late night VoG runs will always be legendary in my eyes.
Keep doing it. No one said it had to stop
good times

Vex on your second run?! That’s amazing! Glad the guide helped!

Ok yes beyond stoked for this series cuz those guide vids that are the top hits are for years ago on some raids.

what about glitches like keeping the flag after the oracle gets shot on the final boss encounter?
guide to challenge modes for 2024?
How do u have 4 rockets in the chamber?

I'm thinking about trying another raid but I haven't done one since Crota. I just don't like voice chat. Too many racists.
