Dude I remember watching NBC on Sundays for the Nascar races and always getting this intro before the race started and it got in stuck in my head a lot (in a good way ;) ). I swear to god this is so golden. Bring this intro back!!!
I don't want to say I didn't like it at first, I was just indifferent. I love the song, of course and it's a good cover. The main thing they were missing was racing action. That's what inspired me to make a fan edit.
Her name is ZZ Ward. They still have the instrumental pop up every now and again, but I think they want to stick with race-day. Probably costs too much money to keep paying royalties. Lol. Same thing happened with Hinder, Sheldon and Metallica. They used the song for a year or two and then stopped.
LOL. I had to re-watch this, since I made it a few years back. I did not exclude him on purpose. I like Jimmie a lot, actually. I think he got the raw deal towards the end of his Hendrick career. I was just going with the vibe and letting the clips I found match up. The idea was showcasing past and future events and how many events start to mirror each other over time. Certain sound effects in the song drove certain decisions too where I kind went off the first moment that popped in my head when I heard it. There were definitely opportunities to use clips of him, Tony Stewart, etc. I just wasn't really thinking about who to include and who to exclude. If I had to include Jimmie, in hindsight he would be the one winning at Homestead between 1:14 and 1:16, while still keeping that moment with Truex and his wife right after.
She likely did. The artist usually comes in to perform the full cover. They probably even filmed an entire music video. it's just not been released anywhere from what I have been able to see. Studio probably has it on a hard drive somewhere collecting dust, unfortunately.
@@McBlamRacingI looked on iTunes for the full version, but couldn’t find it. I’m definitely in agreement that I would love to hear the full version. And you know what would make for a cool music video for this song? One featuring all of the motorsports that NBC covers. NASCAR, Indycar, IMSA, MotoGP, AMA Motocross and Supercross, Nitro Rallycross, the works! How awesome would that be!?

Who is the singer?? She's amazing. Why NASCAR took this song off is FAR BEYOND ME!!!!!
