Death Note is not as deep as people think, it's a perfect anime for 14 years old, everything is explained and it's not really complicated. They really wanted for Light to win at first, even if it didn't make any sense.
What pisses me off is how stupid everyone except Light is. It's implied in both manga and anime that if Light managed to kill Near after his confession, he would have been able to trick everybody else to let him go. Like, wtf? Also, why did they make him the head of the investigation after him killing L? He was literally the main suspect, they just had to move forward with the last thing L told them to do.
To be fair L asked can you be my successor
I agree with how stupid FOR plot the characters were , L wasn't practical and was equating his life's value to beating light, literally sees light scream in the helicopter with the death note and doesn't even snatch it back and watches, light somehow is able to write 3rd kiras name? 💀💀, I can list so much more dumb moments but I won't, but as much as I love Light he needed to die because the plot against L was too much , Naomi misora was dumb for plot , misa rem were plot devices , ryuk was all over the place saying he's neutral but still helping light then decides to kill him? also I wish they kept the concept of death eraser , basically the author scrapped the idea but if u erase a name the person can comeback to life , imagine because L is historic and special they put his body in a frozen chamber like captain America and when he gets revived he's the one who shows up in the last episode , maybe that's dumb , but Wish mello won and not near, I think near was trash
In Near’s defense, he did mention him by himself wasn’t smarter than L but together him and Mello could surpass him. And also Near mentions he only was able to beat Light and come up with a plan at the end bc of Mello
Yeah but how they just through mello shi in there and the bank shit with the note book could’ve been done way better
@TenjisManga yeah I agree the bank and notebook thing was outrageous🤦🏾♂️great video btw🔥 just finished the show a couple days ago and I really enjoyed it
Nah, the ending is not that bad. I've seen worst.
L isn't even a real Hero, because he also does it because catching Kira would be an interesting challenge to him, to catch someone like Kira, he was even really disappointed when Light wasn't kira anymore, and some stupid impulsive guy that uses the death note to gain financial power, is likely to be kira now, he even wants to execute a Criminal to make sure that the note is real, so a human life doesn't even have a high worth to him.
I think L like became less of a hero towards the end but he did have heroic intentions throughout the story to me. Yeah it’s mainly to like drive his own like ambitions but it wasn’t like what light was doing
@@TenjisManga he got into the series, thinking that Kira would kill of his stunt double, so he kinda Killed of that dude, just to proof that Kira is in Japan, the stunt double was going to get executed anyways, but still, he send a man to die to proof it. Isn't really heroic in my opinion
@@Angel.Experimenter I mean using a dead man for bait isn't bad , painless 2 second death , he was gonna die anyway and signed up with L for that last action
@@Angel.Experimenter English bro.
Thats the point of Death Note. There is no black and white. Hero and villain. L is as much of a villain as Light. He himself admitted this.
After watching Death Note years ago but always find the ending off like Near and Mello was added after L dies.
Yeah it jus didn’t work for me
Legit, the true ending was L’s death. The author was just pressured to continue the story, that’s when it falls off.
That’s how I felt
Honestly the live action movies from Japan handled the ending better
I haven’t watched it might have to
@@TenjisManga you really should, there great
For a death Note season 2 I don't get how play broken into a bank just to get the death Note under 24 hours somehow nearly replaced every page identically 24 for obvious reasons that shouldn't be possible the fastest writer in the world couldn't do that irl.
Yeah. That like rushed it and it didn’t make sense even though the story could possibly pull off shi like thag
I thought the ending was very poetic, it showed that light was, at the end of the day, a pathetic worthless person. His true self was shown at the end when the truth came out, and his facade fell. He lost his father, he died with no friends, and was in anguish. Just as ryuk said in the beginning of the series about owners of the DN living in anguish. And just like ryuk said in the beginning of the series, he was the one to write Light's name in his note book.
Because owners dont go to heaven or hell, i also found it fitting that he died on a flight of stairs, not above or below, implying he never will ascend the stairway to heaven, nor to hell but will be somewhere in between.
found ur opinion interesting to listen to, and im glad that we all think differently nice video. I happened to like the ending, but i agree that they could have done more.
Warning: incoming verbal diarrhea, skip if you dont wanna hear how i'd write the ending
As in, for example,
Rem never really killed L, but gave him a heart attack that would lead everyone to presume he's dead, only for him to come back and die many years later. L could have planned his "death" ahead of time with rem, in exchange for guaranteeing Misa's safety and assuring she wouldnt be imprisoned. He could have made rem write "L has a heart attack infront of the task force, L is presumed dead by the entire kira task force, with weak vitals and no sign of living, but dies decades later of natural causes", he could stage a funeral, stage everything to make it look like hes dead. so while light is busy babysitting Near and Mello, thinking L is dead L is making his recovery and could be anonymously building a strong case, and just when Light thinks things are rough with near and mello, a third new force comes in strong, Light begins to feel cornered. Mello being the chaotic half of L, and Near being the calculating half of L, and now another one? of course, this would conflict with Light finding the note book, and using it to "prove his innocence". So, it would have to be written well in advance with a specific date, rip the page out and then rem would have to write his name again on that day and make it look like she just gave him a heart attack when Light finds her remains and the note book with L's fake name in it. why an alius? Light doesnt know his real name at this point, and it could bite him in the ass if Light writes his name in it later on when he suspects this third anonymous foe to be L.
why would her remains be there? Watari would also have to be killed in the same way, without knowing. sacrificed, leading to rem's discintegration.
Light kills mello in roughly the same manner, sacrifing that girl or something.
i dont know how the story would end from here, but i feel like Light should still be the one to kill off L if he has to, but not before somehow broadcasting it to japan, exposing kira somehow before his death, near would still survive and act as L's successor. Light would still be shown in the same pathetic light, Ryuk would be the one writing Lights name in his deathnote, Light would die begging ryuk to kill everyone who knows in the task force since he is completely out of options, and we would get that manga ending that I loved so much better where light is begging ryuk to stop writing his name in the deathnote and at his feet. L would die proving he was right all along with a smile, letting his successor get the credit.
i got bored at the end of writing that, probably just like the creator of the series
I didn’t even peep the staircase symbolism. And yeah I was fine with light dying to ryuk. I just really didn’t think we needed anyone after L. And I do like your ending. I just think if they were to bring another person to find light it should’ve been like either someone from before or someone totally different than L. A whole different style of evading and what not. But I do like how L wins in the end thiugj
@TenjisManga yup, L dies the best detective in the world who busted the worst criminal in history and immortalized his place at the top. They easily could've or should've brought characters from the bb murder case manga. It's a prequel, it takes place before the deathnote series but in the same world, where L has to catch his brother BB, who was always his fiercest competition for being the best detective, anyways he went insane because he was born with shinigami eyes and could see when people were gonna die and couldn't change it, and decided to become the one criminal L couldn't catch since he couldn't be the best detective. I haven't read it but I really think they could have brought some of the cast from that manga. They did in deathnote before, the woman with vital information Light killed by suicide was from the manga, so I don't see why they couldn't bring someone else along who's already been talked about and isn't just a new character and the audience (manga only) would have some connection to so it would feel better when they avenge L, the person they worked with in the past to solve the bb murder case.
@TenjisManga thanks btw lol, it was just off the tongue but I think the writer had to rush the ending because of the controversies and weirdos bringing deathnotes to schools and writing people's names in it. Many lawsuits lol
@@YTmakesDumbUpdates yeah I didn’t even know they had lawsuits and all of that
It’s not that deep bro
What made me upset for the later half was how the new L just randomly picks out Lights helper while watching a bunch of screens. Like yup there's our guy right there I just know it 🤓
lol
I love the video
Appreciate it🙂↕️
yea it was a shame they had to end it the way they did, they were getting lawsuits and had to end it with Light losing and being made to look bad, people were copycatting it in real life, yea i know people are dumb, but here is a link to a ''fan''ending th-cam.com/video/TE6beI7AVc4/w-d-xo.html
They were getting lawsuits? I didn’t know that. Thats crazy
@@TenjisManga yea they were getting accused of their show causing violence, cancel culture , also let me know what you think about the link i sent, its short but it an interesting ending
@@lunard8690wow and I watched it. It’s better than what happened. I feel like it would’ve been a lil different though
The series kinda kept characters comviently dumb for the plot to continue realistically L woulda caught light with the cameras why would Ryuk be scared 💀💀
W!
Lore of Death note, Honest Truth momentum 100
The story would’ve been better if it embraced light winning.
for sure
Imagine L wrote in the death note all along that lights death is he gets caught by near , lowkey cold ☠️
I would’ve taken that over what happened fs
The ending was total bs with a exact copy. I totally agree with you on your thoughts. If they changed the exact copy of the notebook I'd be fine with the rest of the ending. It just doesn't make sense his right hand man wouldn't have pages stored like light did within his watch. I think a better direction to go would be to fully embrace the "god" direction and "perfect" world after L's death. Instead of rehashing the first half with L 2.0 they should have gone into the megalomaniac tyranny and false peace brought by violence. Have internal power struggles and light's mistakes with his inner circle coming back to haunt him. Instead of L 2.0 there should have been a light 2.0 wanting that position and power for himself and doing everything in their power to obtain it. Then ending it like the manga light showing his true self begging ryuk for help only for him to write his name in the death note. As that regime is overthrown and destroys itself from the inside out as the world returns to how it once was before the events of light and the death note.
you aren't first
