Try to save up a bit for one of those cheap used Casio/Yamaha electric pianos, or search places like Kijiji or Craigslist for free pianos and/or organs, there's a ton. You could also buy a MIDI controller, connect it to your computer, and download some free piano VSTi's. Hope these can help!

hey sheet music boss, i am studying music right now in my last few years of high school, and for one of our tasks we had to take a song to perform at the end of the year, and we have to record our techniques to learn the piece as well as embellishing the piece to make it our own cover. i chose africa to perform as it one of my all time FAVOURITE songs. i used this tutorial to teach me to play, and i have recently performed it in front of my school & their parents. i want to thank you very much for making this; it was hard but it challenged me and i have definitely benefited a lot from learning this piece. thank you so much sheet music boss, you're awesome !! 🤍
This isnt "hard" either imo not much technique needed. Dont know who the difficulity lvls are adressed to but compared to transcriptions based on pieces not on songs are usually way more difficult since playing the melody of a Song in general isnt hard

Sheet Music Boss Thanks for the reply! I am glad to see I definitely got the right version. I am still very new at playing piano so it's very likely I am not reading the sheet music correctly. The notes didn't seem to match up between the sheet music and the keys on the screen in this video, but perhaps I need to move up or down a register. I will look again. Having searched all of the internets, I can confidently say this is the BEST arrangement of Africa that's out there. I love that it has all the extra accompaniment parts included. Thanks so much for putting this together! I do have just a couple of requests though... Would it be possible to do a version that also has the lyrics? And, even better, also includes the guitar chords? That would be amazing, and I would buy a hundred copies, even though I only need one! 😉 Also, had you considered arranging this in cut time rather than 4/4? I've seen another version that does this, and it makes the music much more legible. (I still prefer your arrangement overall though!) I won't link the other score here without your permission, so if you'd like me to provide it as a reference let me know. But hey, if turning it into cut time is too hard, I'll settle for just the lyrics and guitar chords! 😄
I heard this alot and now looking at the notes for the first time, its so interesting that it shifts from F# major to minor and back. I think thats the flavor of why it makes the song so rich and nice!
If you haven't learned it already, (I don't know your skill level it took me a few hours after upload to learn) I can give you some tips. The sheet music is great alongside the video and can help remembering different parts. The left hand is probably the most difficult part but it can be simplified by not jumping octaves. Just play the notes that are closest to you. The right hand is fairly easy but it can become difficult and you will likely mess up if you don't keep consistent fingerings. Always use the same fingers playing over and over again. Hope this helped a little.
