In the Hall of the Mountain King is part of an orchestral suite, composed by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. It originally was written as incidental music and has since been arranged several times by the composer and others. It is a very well-known classical theme and has been used in films and television. Recently, a video featuring the video game "Line Rider" has surfaced, syncing the acrobatics of the game with musical events in Hall of the Mountain King. This piano arrangement takes inspiration from the original orchestral score, with influences from Grieg's own piano arrangement. You will find many devilish hand crossings and other fun features throughout this version: if you learn it, you'll have something truly unique to play at a concert!

for the sheet music, "alla marcia e molto marcato" means literally "On the march and very marked". So basically imagine playing the starting notes every time a marching army stomps their feet. This is one of the first songs I ever learned on piano (albeit a "lite" version) and my favorite thing about this song is how it just descends into chaos. Great version.
descending into chaos like my life
I think "alla marcia e molto marcato" is in Italian... I'm Italian LOL! :D
Are there any other piano songs that are similar to this, as in, it slowly descends into chaos.
Joshua Anderson this what I am trying to learn (not this version) but a simplified one
Which is why the song gets so hectic towards the end.
Not gonna lie, doesn't matter how many times I come back to this song, every time I hear those first two notes together I think Smashmouths Allstar!
