Bring back small phones. I miss the 5s. No glass back, no camera bump, and the screen is fine. Rockin the 12 mini now and will not give it up until I absolutely have to

My wife picked up 13mini in 2023 two days before Apple conference. She wanted small iPhone that will replace her 2020 iPhone SE. She loves it!
Great choice as they have discontinued 13 mini after the conference.
Traded a 13 pro max I got on release day for a 13 mini about a year and a half ago. Loved it instantly. Pro Max was just too heavy. The 14 came out… wasn’t interested. The 15 just came out… wasn’t interested. Had great deals on the 14 thru my carrier… wasn’t interested. This phone is a beast!
I was so disappointed when they discontinued the line. I don’t think I could go back to having a large phone. I love the size of the mini. It’s perfect for me.
I'm a very happy user of this model myself. For photos, video, and super easy to tote it's ideal. Mine is protected in a Ghostex case with both front and rear screen protection so it can be used almost anywhere. Fits in my pockets and gear bags easily, even the top pocket of a t-shirt. I hope at some point Apple will bring back the small device. I happened to handle a 14 ProMax just the other day. No way that brick would work for me.
I picked my 13 mini in blue a couple of weeks ago after using an SE 2020 and I love it, the battery easily lasts me the whole day, cameras are great (front and rear) and the size is perfect. But I still prefer the rounded edges of the SE models
13 Mini was incredible. I used it for 2 years. Prior was an iPhone 12 Mini. I have essentially used a MINI for the last 3 years. I go back and forth between opinions on best size form factor. It’s definitely between the old Pro’s 5.8 or this MINI’S 5.4. I Absolutely adore the form factor here. I reluctantly have placed a preorder for the 15 Pro 6.1. I know that will still be too big, but i am missing the 120hz display, battery life and the macro Lens. For these i am willing to make the trade off 3 years later. Plus hearing the change to Titanium and slightly curved edges, i am hoping this makes all the difference.

I have my mini too. And I am considering getting the 15 for these reasons. But, I am just too comfortable with the size of the mini. Am thinking about just replacing the battery since it says it’s only holding 83% now

15 series is the worst unoptimized iPhones ever released. It all went downhill after 13 Pro.
Evolve the mini , make it slightly bigger with better battery life but keep it under 160 grammes in weight and you got the perfect small form factor phone.

As someone who likes to minimize his phone usage but still can't go all the way down to a dumb phone this is ideal for me. I just don't want to use it enough to justify the gigantic size the regular iphones have gotten up to, and not lugging around a 2x4 in my pocket is a huge plus as well

Bought my 1st iphone which is the 13 mini 6 months ago. I decided to get this due to the size; coming from large size androids. Im just waiting for a prepaid sim in my country so i can use two sims on my phone.
I really wish that Apple release Pro Mini some time. although the camera island could be way too large for mini size...

I actually gave up using a 14 pro max for a 13 mini since July (2023). Love all the bells and whistles of the 14pro max dont get wrong but just flat out got tired of carrying a 2 ton brick in my pocket. Even the Magsafe accessories (battery, wallet) fit and feel like they were just made for this form factor specifically. The 13 mini along with my watch ultra and an ipad air i carry in my backpack are all i need. I feel that having a much bigger screen which apple does not take advantage of like with features like split screen multitasking, landscape homescreen etc is a real waste. I pretty much get the same experience from a much manageable one handed use device. Even tho this device is going on 2 yrs it sure doesn’t show it and it will be my daily driver for some time to come even with as tempting as the iPhone 15 pro line up that’s about to be released i think i’ll be passing on those this year for sure.
And what do you find about the battery without using MagSafe accessories? I’m hesitating to trade my IPhone 12 Pro Max for a 13 Mini
It all depends on what kind of user you are. I get an easy 8 hrs out of mine without the Magsafe battery pack. Of course i mainly use it for texting, reading emails and phone calls. I do my occasional check of social media but nothing excessive. The battery life is not the best, there’s plenty of youtube videos that will show you that but you have to consider the size of the device…small device, smaller battery.
I just brought one of the last 13 minis after having the 12 for 2 years. I was thinking of trying the 15 pro but it didn’t inspire me much.

The size is very important for me, is iPhone 13 mini the best option? The current iPhone I use (SE 1st gen) cannot last 1 hour! So, battery is important still, but size is important as well.

I would say a resounding yes, pick it up the 13 iPhone mini is a great phone. I just love it, like you said I don’t mind charging it, because it’s something you have to do anyway. I skipped the iPhone 14 and I am skipping the 15, because I love the mini, it fits perfectly in my hand and it does what I need it to do, sure I love what bells and whistles of the pro max brings, but the mini just satisfies that craving for something just as powerpacked in the smaller form factor. I also have the iPhone 13 just because I use it for business and my 13 mini is for personal and the fact that is comes in the perfect shade of pink for me is a bonus. I think I will be going for the 12 mini. It’s just something about the mini. Grab one while you still can and you will understand what I mean.

It's not a phone for heavy users. But for normal people, who don't live on social media and don't play games, this is it. My 13 Mini has 90% battery health and it lasts me 3 solid days in between charging. And I love the size, I can put other stuff in the same pocket without it sticking into my leg and I can use it with one hand. Absolute game changer.

I switched from being a Samsung fan for years all because the mini was so perfect. I literally mean samsung fan . But one by one Samsung removed all the features that set it apart from all the rest. So i went to apple so i could get 512gb in a small form. I will never give up my mini phone now. Its perfect in size.

I also think that the mini 13 is an excellent phone, but you have to make a battery for a whole day, and if Apple managed to make a watch that is smaller than a phone with a battery for two days, then of course it can make a phone with a battery that lasts for two days, you just have to convince them that it is important

I love my iPhone 13 mini but of all the phones to suffer from iOS 16 and 17 it’s the mini range. Hell even my 13 Pro Max now sometimes doesn’t last a whole day now! My 13 mini used to last until 11-12pm from 7am and now it’s often 6-7pm. iOS 16 killed the mini!

@@dark_karusu_4485 no unless you want to charge it two to three times a day. I’d actually recommend the iPhone 13 as the whole 13 range had much better battery performance than the 11 or 12 normal if you can stretch to that. It hasn’t been the same since iOS 16 or 17 for the Mini especially (I’ve been running iOS 17 beta).
@@dark_karusu_4485 mini isn’t for 7h screen time. Mine lasts 4 to 5 hours max. But it has its own benefits. So if you wanna use it more, look for a bigger model w bigger battery

Love my 13 mini. Only problem is I watch an extreme amount of porn but I have the magsafe battery for that so I'm all good. All they need to do is make a new mini but make it 2mm thicker and they can get a good battery for it. And also, if they would have named it iphone 13 and not mini it would have sold waaaay more. They should just make regular iphone be the mini in the future and then keep the pro model. The pro max is a joke, like carrying around a frisbee all day long.
