I think today is the right day to put this video online. I've made a month ago but never really had the chance to put it. I did it when I was angry. I just love the character of Mary Stuart in the show, and these sentences, these scenes are just wonderful. Some of them relfect really good the way I feel sometimes so I just had to make a video about her. I just had a really special night and I need this video. I know it is not really good but I just wanted to reflect Mary Stuart in it :) She's just amazing, really hard to explain how.

we need more people like that in our lives 😔

Mary isn't taught a lot but when I learned about her in my history class, she should be taught why Elizabeth I was no more a queen than her because Mary fought to give her country a better future and in her death she gave Scotland, England and Ireland their one true King who united them under her name, the queen who moved wind and fire so that her reign may hold power while many thought she had none. In her end, she showed that no other queen could match her dying loyalty to the people and her promise to give them a future of a United Kingdom. Long May She Reign and 500 years later she still does.

@Mary tudor Actually not as Queen Mary II and Queen Anne were monarchs of Scotland too. The Union of England and Scotland into Great Britain was signed in 1707, during the reign of Queen Anne. So she was the last monarch of Scotland, about 150 years after Mary Stuart's execution.

James VI of Scotland and I of England would solidify this since he was the last monarch of just Scotland. Queen Anne was an English queen as were Elizabeth and Mary.

King James VI of Scotland on becoming King James I of England created the unification act so that he and his successors would be ruler of both. If you check the tiles, Queen Anne was Queen of Scotland from 1701 - 1707 when it became part of Great Britain.

Not really. Mary and Elizabeth were enemies overall because Mary was a catholic and Elizabeth was a Protestant. Mary refused to to convert to Protestantism which was why the English parliament didn't want her as queen ever. Mary's son however was seen as a good candidate to succeed Elizabeth Because he was Protestant. He abandoned his mother in order to have good relations with England. Not much of a victory really.

And every single one of them supported Mary on the throne including France and Scotland and a bit of England. Elizabeth was a bastard. There was still Catholics in the country but even most of them would've rather had Elizabeth rule as queen instead of a foreigner, which Mary always was. And Elizabeth may have been bastardized, but her father added her to the succession so she was behind her sister Mary while he excluded the descendants of Margaret Tudor (Mary's Grandmother) from ever inheriting. So Mary didn't really have a claim at all. Elizabeth's catholic sister also named Elizabeth as her heir over catholic Mary. So even the catholic queen wanted Elizabeth to succeed her over MaryQOS. And her son never gave a shit about her. Even though he succeeded Elizabeth he was still a Protestant who ended up being a huge disappointment to the Catholics left in England who hoped he would be kinder to him than Elizabeth was. He wasn't kinder to them and they tried to murder him as well. So no she didn't really win. It was also under the Stuart's that the English monarchy was overthrown for a brief time because Mary's grandson was a dumbass and a catholic.

James did care about his mother and that’s why he tried to save her, and fulfilled her dream OF THE THEM ON THE ENGLISH THRONE it was a huge victory because the tudors where swiped off the English throne!! Elizabeth was smart but she couldn’t help what happened after she was gone and don’t say Mary didn’t have a claim she was the rightful heir. Whether it’s true or not Idk Queen Elizabeth wasn’t in for games she didn’t play. I’ve written a paper on Marry for AP English. Just because she loved her son doesn’t mean anything. She might’ve loved her son in the TV show but in real life royals barely even raised their children more less loving them. They cared for their crown and what was right for the country!

Loved her and her tragic love story. 😢
A lot of Mary's life was a struggle. She fought her way through, much of the time on her own. When she joined francis in heaven, she finally could have some peace and love again after a difficult life. That made me really happy for her!

She literally got no consequence for her adultery with Conde. And when she said "don't blame a woman for a man's actions" well what about HER actions?? She had just as much part in that and the whole Conde thing would never have gotten as far as it did without her power and desire for him. How can Francis just forgive her?? She was about to and willing to just abandon France, her King, and her responsibilities - she was about to waste it all , throw it all way for a love not as strong as Frary. And for some reason this fandom seems to forget about that..?

She was really hurting at the time and she never did leave. The affair itself was risky, though, and her selfishness was so hurtful. I'm glad for francis that they were together and happy before his death and in heaven, too.

Technically she didn’t lose Scotland to Elizabeth, her son went on to rule both Scotland and England.
Jessica Abrahamsson Mary's story is not taught in all countries you know. I think they teach her story especially in countries like england scotland and france and maybe some other countries. But in other states we focus on other aspects of history because every country has its own history.
