Mary and Elizabeth were great queens Elizabeth they both seemed to always lived in fear. Mary won her battle she had a son United England and Scotland as one nation and still have her descendants ruling like Queen Elizabeth lol her family lines still remain . Love live the Queen.!!!!

Mary queen of scots was irrational. Yes. But she was also a woman who acted on impulse. She was an excellent queen but a woman who was never taught to make good choices for her rule. She never got to see her mother rule as consort ( a woman who ruled excellently btw) and so with that she became an orphan queen whos son eventually also became an orphan king and whos grandson was killed much like her. Her story is tragic and painful. She is a true queen. Long Live Mary queen of Scots.

She couldn't remove John Knox that easy. He was leader of Protestants and had massive influence and if she killed him it would've seen like she was crushing Protestant lords. And about Darnley, yes he was ambitious but it was strategic marriage because Darnley had claim to English throne too. So James had claim from both of them. She just used him as the weapon against Elizabeth so her son could've rule both England (with Ireland) and Scotland.
Ever since their meeting when they said to call them only by their names and not their title, Mary and Francis have rarely if ever addressed each other as a king, prince, or queen... True love!
Fantastic! I wish they would bring back a fifth season in which the entire story of Bothwell and Mary are told. The real historical account is truly romantic. Think how it could have been played out by Adelaide and Adam Croasdell!

I hate the disrespect Mary has received from the Scottish people and Dudley she is a Queen and should be spoken to as such (Dudley should have referred to her as your majesty) also why did she not bring her guards with her when she went anywhere and the guards should answer to her and not Lord Darnley and John Knox

Plus, she knew it could upset Elizabeth, but personally, I think Elizabeth set her up. She knew what a wastrel Darnley was and how attractive Mary might find him. And she made Mary upset by offering Robert Dudley to her as a husband, never really expecting Mary to accept.
