The reason I think Lego and Star Wars works so well, is because Lego is a brand that likes to joke with the properties they portray as games and cartoons. Everyone knows Lego, and that they’re a bit on the silly side. And with a brand as long-lived, well known, and large as Star Wars, you have a vast, expansive universe of characters and stories to poke fun of. The fans have known this universe long enough to where the jokes write themselves. We all love to poke fun at the more statical parts of the franchise. Whether it’s going to Satashi station for power converters, blue milk, asking about the droid attack on the wookies. So many memes from this epic saga.
