the shop link of the KIWI grips says that they do not fit the Quest 2 only 1.The second link of grips, the AMVR touch controller grip cover says that it can fit quest, quest 2 or Rift S. My question is that can I not buy the KIWI grips which looks like yours will they fit, Or do I have to but the other ones?
Bionik Mantis is awful... In my opinion, they look cool but the sound is worse than the built-in audio of the quest. You'd be better off getting some cheap Koss kph30i or porta pro (Sometimes on sale for $20). Also, I think Bionik is coming out with a quest 2 specific set of headphones that are all black and fit the quest 2.
When you say that you can scratch your lenses without being able to fix it, meet Polywatch, it can remove scratches so you dont need to buy prescription lenses due to scratches on the lens with glasses

You can actually use the strings for your wrists as realistic throw replacement because you can bring it up and put the strings around the analog sticks, it may make it drift but it still works as a free substitute

I am using a headset (Bluedio T4s White) connected thru bluetooth for watching media - movies, videos - and conected thru the 3.5 mm jack for gaming. I wrapped the cable around the headset till it was the perfect lenght and then I can disconect it from the headset and headphones as well when needed. They are kinda heavy headphone but it works for me. I am used to a mortorcicle helmet so it a lot less weight on the head.
Glad I watched this, I wear glasses and if I'm able to, I'll have to get the prescription lenses when I eventually order my quest 2, and some other things!
While the light bleed is annoying for game play, I have also found a few advantages for it... mainley when I want to look for something but don’t want to take the headset off or switch to passthrough. I just tilt my head up and look out the gap, lol. I’m still looking forward to when the thing is back in stock and I can by it and see what a difference it makes in game play though.

It really mostly matters on how well you can see in VR. I myself for example, without prescription lenses see everything in VR like I would in real life, basically really blurry. So I really need them. Some people are completely fine without prescription lenses. It's really just a matter of how bad your experience is without them ;)

I'm gona turn 16, I'm gona use the quest 2 via oculus link so I won't have much of a problem but if you don't have a pc then make your age 17 or so, I don't think that they'll notice. Although I highly suggest that you make your facebook account before you buy the headset because there is a little chance that you might get banned.
Question, you show the black straps on the Quest 2 controller. When you go to your links, that strap shows it will not fit the Q2 controller? And the link for Q2 controller you provided i just bought and the grip fits very tight...too tight and I will be returning. I only really need strap not grip too. If we are talking about the kiwi design one that I use on my quest 2 controllers. Yes, that one says it won't fit. However if you mount it differently (over the ring instead of the controller) it fits just fine for me. As for the straps being too tight, the ones I linked should all be adjustable so I'm not sure what happened there ;)

I had screen protectors on my CV1, am carefully using glasses with the spacer in my quest 2 until my Zenni lenses show up so I can try and 3d print an adapter... those widmovr + all the competitors are super expensive for me.. like, half the cost of the headset almost. I guess due to my high prescription and that theyre all made in europe..
HTC das is $100-110 US (this includes a comfy head strap and built in headphones), while the oculus elite strap is $50 and those headphones he mentioned are $80+ (low balled) that’s already more than HTC das. Then for the DAS adapter for quest 2 it’s only 18.99, HTC das is the better and cheaper option.

I've done it multiple times and had no issues. With the Quest 1 I haven't yet tried with the Quest 2 and it does say that it's not recommended. So I can't say it would be a good idea

You need to install them a little bit differently :) instead of installing them like on the photos on amazon you need to wrap it around the tracking ring instead of the controller, than they seem to work just fine ;)

Since I caught this video early, I wanted to ask something. Maybe it's because I'm using a bad cable, but when using link, the visual quality seems lesser than that of the stand alone experience of a headset. Might I be doing something wrong? Could it be the cable? And for context I have a high end pc with a 2080 so I don' think hardware could be the issue.
The link is just a usb 3 cable, the signal it recieves is unfortunately highly compressed so the video quality will be worse, hopefully when it comes out of beta this will be fixed ;)
I would suggest not using the official one, especially since you have a 2080. Buy a specific CableMatters type c to type c cord, because you have a 2080 you can then connect your Quest 2 directly to your GPU, and at 5gbps.

The facial interface that came with the quest actually gave me a rope burn type rash where the headset was so I’m definitely gonna buy a new one

Amvr grips for the quest one work amazingly on the quest 2 and in my opinion are much more comfortable than the kiwi ones
I just tried that and it does work 😃 however I still find it much harder to replace batteries in the AMVR ones :(

I bought that cable for charging and it won't charge. It charges for a moment than stops. Do I need a specific charging block for it?
