when using the miteebite pitbull clamps I cut some brass shim stock to use between my stock and clamps. The talon's I do the same so the clamping marks are very minimal.
Haas Tooling is great; just keep in mind most of it is YG1 or other mid-tier high-quality brands that Haas is whitelabeling. We love them when we're in a hurry and need good value, but if we have time we order directly
@@GimbelAutomation uniforce has flat aluminum contact face much less marring(brass will always marr aluminum). 1/4 brass pitbull 950lbs of force 1/4 uniforce 1500lbs of clamping force.look into it, give them a try I highly recommend them especially for this application.

Brass Pitbull's have greatly reduced clamping force. Instead use a mitee-bite uniforce clamp in a pocket that is open towards part.
Yea but the brass ones won't mar the part (this is op2 after all)

how much is a machine like this with the tooling you have? are you able to provide a ballpark value?
probably about 50-55k with the machine and tooling all included
