hey, sis. learning the pace of God’s grace is SO important because there's a huge difference between the soul-level peace and provision from the Lord that we can experience when moving at His pace VS. those times when we just go rouge and do things in our own strength and in our own timing. So in today’s video, we are going to be talking about HOW to move at God’s pace by looking at 2 Samuel 6. We'll be learning from David through what he did right (and what He did wrong) and see first hand how we can hold these truths in our heart as we navigate our own journey's with the Lord. i hope you enjoy!! love you.

hey sis! let's chat. today's question: how would you describe what it feels like to move at God's pace?! it's going to be beautiful to see the unique ways God allows us to experience the grace of moving at His pace ♥
for me: it feels like SOUL-level peace. & i can't lie, sometimes the peace throws me off because I had gotten to use to living from a place of stress. there will be times where I am looking around like 👀 am I missing something? i must've forget something! 😅😂 but i hadn't missed a thing. God is just so kind!

Yes sis the peace now has me soooo excited but I’m like ok now let’s keep this please Lord God 😂😂 but I’ve been in an unbalance and paranoid space couple years or so ago and boy I couldn’t take it at all. However, I increased the time with God reading cratering worshiping etc with God and it’s been ugh soooo peaceful 😢 😊 but the devil tries sometime but I’m covered by the blood.

God's pace sucks when you don't surrender. As a person who HATES making mistakes, anxiety and depression come in like a flood when I don't "do it right the first time". I"m learning that God teaches in my mistakes. He knows I'm not perfect and doesn't expect me to be. The quicker I take that requirement away, the more free I can live in obedience and not legalism. This journey SUCKS. But I know there's some cool stuff on the other side. I need to go stress cry after writing this. May my tears reap songs of joy! (Psalm 126:5)

for me, I recently learned that moving at God's timing means not moving based on my emotions but thinking things through and also enduring the uncomfortable feeling of having to wait. I can relate to the part about having good intentions but things still not working. I now know that it doesn't mean it was never meant to be but rather it just wasn't the time. Also praying and reading scripture nonstop while waiting is key.

Moving at God's pace feels like slowing down, resting, saying no to things which might seem "normal" to some of my peers but knowing that God has given me a personal conviction and being obedient to that. It feels like rest instead of striving. it feels like suddenly not caring anymore about what is going to "build my resume" but instead examining my capacity and submitting every single decision into the Lord's hand's and trusting that the advancement of His kingdom is much better than any thing I could do to "build my own legacy"

The Lord's pace is definitely slow 💀 it's definitely pushing me to learn to be more humble and patient with every step. That said, it's not overwhelming (since I tend to be perfectionistic if I do things my way vs His way), it's safe, and I've seen those around me be more blessed so God's pace is the best for everyone ❤

I feel like moving at Gods pace is letting him lead and trusting that everything will work out according to his will. I still try to take control over my life in so many ways instead of letting God lead. I want to rush things and make back up plans on top of back up plans instead of trusting that I’m supposed to sit in this season for a good minute. Letting God set the pace for what I’m supposed to be doing is so much easier said than done. And it’s even funnier that I’ve been seeing a whole bunch of videos pop up on my feed telling me to let God take control and to let God lead. So I have no other choice but to sit my butt down now because obviously everything I’ve tried ain’t working, and for good reason. Tapping into my faith and let God take the wheel now

For me, moving in God’s timing means fully TRUSTING Him in every situation. At times, we try to ‘help’ God when what we’ve asked for takes longer than we thought but realizing that I am to lean NOT on my own understanding has been a great lesson from the Lord.

Moving at God’s pace makes me realize how fast I usually want to go. I always try to finish everything as quickly as possible, doing things “my way”, but when I learn to go at God’s pace and God’s timing, I go not slowly, but very controlled and not rushed, because everything plays out perfectly and everything has a peace to it, that peace of God, and no stress, anxiety, or adrenaline.

God pace and grace is perfect. My husband and I are experiencing this right now as we bought our first house. It took us about a year and we almost ended up with something that would have been bad. But God saved us from a mess and we kept looking and what he blessed us with is almost perfect. It was a really stressful journey but in the end I couldn't be happier 💛. Thank you God for allowing us to move on your time!

Thank you Mel for once again being lead by our Father and encouraging us weekly! I usually watch but don’t tend to comment and today I wanted to step out of the non-engaging box and share. In this season of my life I believe moving at God’s pace means that I am learning to walk more intimately with his Spirit. It has meant that it’s not about what I am waiting for but who I am waiting with. It’s given me time to lean into my relationship with the Holy Spirit more because so often we make our walk with the Lord about what we are believing him for versus what He is developing in us and with us. Moving at God’s pace means that I am allowing Him to build in me and build with me. It means staying present daily with Him so that each day there’s opportunity and space to grow with Him. Rather than rushing to get to whatever it is we think we want and need. It’s a humbling experience but well worth it time and time again.

Something that I noted when you were speaking about 2 Sam. 6:1-19, is that you said “this time”. The second attempt was successful, when there was more careful application in carrying the Ark of the covenant. There’s a process to the ways of God and we must follow His steps. Even with the delay, David still rejoiced because it’s God’s timing not ours. I just felt like that was encouragement for all the attempts of trying to things ahead of God, but “this time” as He’s leading us it will happen

I'm in a waiting season and I got so tired asking God when is it finally going to happen for me?
    1. I ask Him do you even want me to relocate to that place yes or no? He responded (one day during my morning devotion) with Zec. 10 : 12 " ...by my authority they will go whenever they wish I the lord have spoken ".
    2. Then I started asking myself but when? It s taking too long Lord!
And last night I had a dream where I was back in highschool ( keep in mind I am married and have 2 kids today😅) and today Melody speaks about HILLSDALE COLLEGE 😮 I might be wrong but I think the Lord me wants to keep learning/prepare for what's next to come. Yes Lord, I'm going to obey because you said so...🙏❤

I agree. It feels peace even in what feels like a storm. I was frantically trying to implement something that God OK’d for me but I didn’t do it the way God instructed because I didn’t ask once I got the initial OK. And in the resulting delays and chaos, God had been directing me and I know it has already been worked out.

I feel like in this season I’ve been hearing the key words “trust in God”and “have faith”. In the midst of everything I was going through in my last season, He moved me out of my mom’s house. I didn’t have anything saved and I didn’t know how I would be able to afford the rent each month. I feel like waiting on God’s pace is to just let Him handle that big thing for me. I own a photography business and last year God called me into entrepreneurship. I found myself looking to throw out some type of special to cover it, but I feel like God just wants me to be still. Lately I’ve been feeling physically and mentally tired cause I’m always on hustle mode but I just need to let God do His thing.

Moving at God's pace for me is trusting His timing in my life despite how frustrating the waiting can be. I get overwhelmed emotionally and thoughts like God left me starts to bombard my mind but there has never been a time where God has left me. eagerness can cause you to be driven that's why we have to work on our faith and develop our fruits. IT IS NOT EASY but God is faithful and He isn't a man that lies, so His promises are true and definite. Controlling my emotions is still something I'm trying to master because my feelings has definitely blocked a lot of God's blessings out of my life. I just pray to be able to stay the course and head towards the mark.

I hope this comment finds you and your family doing well, blessed, and staying safe. I am doing well.
My sister in Christ, you always come through in full effect with Heavenly Father's knowledge, wisdom, and scripture references! I love 💕 it!!
How I would describe what it feels like to move at Heavenly Father's pace? It feels peaceful, inspiring, and awesome to know when I move at Heavenly Father's pace it will be done correctly, in His perfect timing, and under the right conditions. There were times I wasn't moving in His pace. I thought I could do some of those things on my own. That was a quick learning lesson for me not to disobey Heavenly Father when He has specifically instructed me on what to do and not to do. Today, it has been smoothier for me in my walk with Him. Heavenly Father is speaking to me in more ways than ever before and guiding my every footsteps. Peace Be Still and know that Heavenly Father will be there for you! 👆🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽😇💪🏽

I needed this. I’m at a place where I feel like I’m fighting but the truth of the matter - I stopped following His plan and how He laid it out for me. Following His plan (being obedient) is definitely better than what I sacrificed because at the end of the day…my sacrifice to Him was just me offering Him proof of my disobedience (ouch). Your transparency on your walk is much appreciated. Continue to be a blessing!

It feels like slowing down and waiting. I’m so used to trying to do things in my own strength and I struggle with truly resting in God. I’m in the waiting room and trusting Him for what’s next.

To me, moving at God's pace feels like total surrendering. There's an absolute peace that comes with surrendering and KNOWING that God has your back in all things, and when you're faithful enough to align your heart's posture (intentions/desires) WITH The instruction of The Lord, seeing it all come into fruition enhances that motivation to move at the pace of God.
I love when you said, Melody, "be 'lead', not 'driven'", btw. Culture, and society would tell us we need to be in control. However, we, as Christians, say we serve a God who is already in control. That being said; there's no need for us to try to step into that role.

This was so good! For me I’ve struggled with timing, almost like a race to where I believed I should have been in my life, in my faith, in my career etc. I try to do so much to make up the time, and then frustration, fatigue, disappointment, and discouragement have themselves a party at my expense. However, when I’m in step with God, I’m not striving or forcing things to happen or align, and there is so much rest, joy, and peace in knowing that His impeccable timing is restoring and redeeming me to where He intended me to be. His pace is the only place one can flourish.

Moving at God's pace means surrendering it all to Him and waiting (that's one of the hardest things to do while living in this busy, rushed world I'm realizing) patiently, learning how to rest in Him and connect with Him more deeply in prayer and reading His Word. This has been the hardest, most confusing sometimes frustrating season of my life so far but I'm learning how to trust Him. Our relationship is stronger than a year ago. Makes one understand that God's ways are so completely different from the ways of the world. Soooo different. I've learned to appreciate the smaller things alot more these days. I'm learning how to differentiate btwn the Holy Spirit's movement in me and my flesh/emotions. Never realized how great the difference was. God is truly wise, brilliant. What an awesome God we serve.

Thank you for your obedience to speak on this topic!! I was literally just thinking about what it means for God to grace me to do what He has called me to!
To move at God's pace for me has often felt like operating from a strength that I know is not my own, it is a firm strength that is steadfast. One thing I have been learning is that when God graces us for something, in our natural mind and to other people it will seem impossible to get through. But that is how I know it is God's grace because without it, I in my human flesh could not do it. God's pace is not slow and is not hurried, so if I am feeling either, that means I need to go back to the Father and ask Him to steady me.

Transparently I have anxiety when it comes to God’s pace and for 2 main reasons: 1. Forgetting that He is the timekeeper when matters of my heart are eager to prevail 2. The world would have you feel that you are being unproductive or lazy and complacent

Alright, sis! I understand now. I will definitely take it easy and slow down. I've been really focused on reading the Bible in one year. It's been a great way for me to connect with God and understand His word better. God is reminding me to continuously study the Bible and explore all the spiritual resources available. He has given me 5 specific assignments to complete. I would love to join your Bible study I have place my name on the waiting list and I'm going to enroll for those courses as well. Thanks! Sis!

I read a book called The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, by a Christian author. I plan to make a video about it soon! It changed my perspective and has helped me to slow down. I've realized that you get more done efficiently by taking your time and being present at every step. I've moved away from the hustle culture and just listen to God first. If God is never in a hurry, why should we be?

    This was beyond on time!
    Everything about this spoke
To my situation. God spoke to me about a situation and I tried to rush ahead to make it happen. What happened? Silence! 6 months of silence. But over the past couple of days God has started to speak to me the same way he spoke to me at the beginning of this journey.
With So many confirmations and clear signs that it was unmistakable that He was speaking to me!
It’s like how David was given a second chance to bring the ark or Gods approval(his presence) back to where He initially wanted it to go.
David moved slowly (every six steps) and with intentionality!
Six steps and a pause seems slow but it got the ark to where it was supposed to go!
I’m committed to walk this time and not run!
I want to see what miracle is at the end of this journey and not only that but I want to see the miracles along the way!

This is either something that I am experiencing now or something I'm about to walk into. I definitely deal with disobedience because I don't always trust that God will see me through everything. He knows His daughter does not like pain. I recently went on a series of interviews and it just seemed like nothing was working out. I just felt that I was going to be stuck. So, my spirit is just lost right now but I am trying to get back with God because it often times hard for me to hear Him so clearly and I have asked for signs/clarification from Him several times.

Moving at God’s pace feels good, but also like I’m getting no where which can be frustrating & lead me to overthinking- sitting in my emotions too long or wanting to give up, but I hold onto the little faith I know I have in Jesus ALONE & remember I am called to REST & not rush to be perfect. Uploading content takes time, effort, and God’s direction & provision & when I rush to upload, the fruits of my labor are not as fruitful as they would be if I had waited on the Lord.
