I've watched a lot of this type repair on rusty vehicles and have to say I think metal welded patches are superior to fiberglass and/or polyester patches. Thumbs Up!
That's a beautiful piece of work Steve..I'm happy that sponsors are seeing your alls channel and helping by donating tools 🔧 I hope you get a lot more free stuff to come..
I recently bought an 82 633csi. The rust is quite awful on it, and its been sitting for nearly 40 years after getting hit by a tree. Your videos have been a great help to me, and have made this project feel more doable!
Got done welding customers yoke early today so decided to muck about learning to weld sheet lead - always be learning & all that.. People think welding bodywork is Wizardry - like you Steve, I weld bodywork all day every day.. Hint - it's a doddle compared to welding lead.. Gonna stay learning till I can weld lead better than the lead welders, Just Because - learn more or die of boredom & all that. :-)

The way that your subscriptions and viewing figures are growing I'm sure that the sponsors will get their moneysworth in advertising value: at least, I hope so as they deserve it for their support. Best wishes.
@@yorkshirecarrestoration yeah it's like night and day between them my car now as a solid sill in place did have some scrap plate to get setting for wire speed and feel only a sealey mig100 but ideal for amount of welding I do lol 😆
the inside where its not accessible we use weld through primer and then drill access holed to apply waxoil, if the opposite side is accessible then we leave it bare metal then 2k zink primer it.
Do a google search.. I did after watching this episode and seems there are some nice ones available in the states... pity our exchange rate is killing me...
I absolutely love the intro sequence especially the music! Cheers chaps for another great video, I watch them all!!! 😊

Two things I've learnt from YCR, 1, you're excellent fabricators and 2, BMW's seem to be extremely vulnerable to rust!!
To be fair that car is probably close to being 40 years old
Japanese motors have just entered the chat.

YES! R-Tech Welder, same as mine!! Be good to see your settings on this beauty!
We are playing with the setting now but we dont have much time , soon as we have it pinned down it will feature and be used in our videos :)
Another first-rate job Steve. Always amazes me that people spend time and money on fitting poly bushes when the car is literally falling to bits!
I have this exact car in my driveway waiting to be restored. Your videos are absolutely priceless when the time comes.
Excellent bit of sponsorship there , and very well deserved
This is just what I needed, you let me know that there is hope for my rusty 81 euro 633. Thank you!
Nice new stuff from sponsors...😮😮👏👏
Yes its nice to have new sponsors :)
Hi Steve Great Work!! Congratulations On Your New Sponsor 👏
Thank you,you made my evening

Great as always Steve, I have that same 180 welder and welding trolley.
how do you get on with it , we haven't had a chance to dial it in yet :)

Always good work from which I can learn a lot. Each of your videos gets a "Like" from me.
thank you we really do appreciate that :)
Absolute perfection
nice welder !! wow that hole in the floor got big quickly
Thank you
yes, very easy...for Steve.
Evening Steve. A well deserved sponsor 👍🏻 You always make it look so easy but I’m sure it’s not 😊 The BMW floor looked like a flint stone car lol 😆
Liking the new welder Steve 👍
Excellent repairs Steve. Be good advertising for the new sponsor to see the new welder in action. Warm regards from Ireland as always.
fantastic work - excellent welding job
Wow I've just got new welder as other was totally useless and had live lance all time hope I can stitch well better than last 😂 good job
a new welder always welds better than a knackered one :) it will take a few attempts to dial it in though so practice on some scrap metal first :)

Cool.
thank you :)
Good idea doubling up on the hole punch! I have one of those, why do they make it so small?
Having not one but two of these in your workshop, and both in a dreadful state, prompts the phrase 'glutton for punishment'.
I would say nice earner
Tidy resto of end of inner sill to inner arch, treated and sealed perfect.
Beautiful work! How do you protect the inside of the welded on steel patch plates from corrosion?
the inside where its not accessible we use weld through primer and then drill access holed to apply waxoil, if the opposite side is accessible then we leave it bare metal then 2k zink primer it.
Good job 😊
nice! Could you help me understand rear repair? Seems like you normally butt weld panels, looked like these overlapped?
There you go get that sponsor money 🔥
You deserve that shit
Do you guys use zinc plated sheet metal or not?
we use lightly coated sheet metal :)
Always wanted a 6 to go with my M6 but think i'll pass buying one unless its mint lol

what underseal dou you use please?
a few things , for underbodys we use either Upol gravitex or upol raptor :)
Is this a Latex undercoating?I mean the BMW one?
@tanaseav There was no botch job by Steve - probably who ever worked on it previously
If you guys never want rust on a car again, send it to me in South-Africa...I live in the driest place in SA...😂😂😂
Cheaper repairs on this one
looked like some cheep repairs in the rear.
Ye gods and little fishies, but that white underseal is nasty stuff!
