When he says to bleed the coolant system does that mean that’s the next step? And they don’t show it ?
you need a gasket for the thermostat housing in addition to the thermostat. you should be able to reuse the original, but you probably have it lopsided. screw all the bolts in, but don’t tighten them until they are all down to the base, then tighten them all down at the same time
Make sure you remove the old seal for the thermostat housing

you have to bleed the cooling system or you’ll get coolant all over the place when you drop the thermostat housing
