The reason I don't play Naoto isn't because he's low tier. It's because I like my fingers attached to my hands. (All jokes aside tho, I'll probably play him a lot at some point, but right now my execution is nowhere near good enough to even acknowledge him as an option.)
Honestly, I don't care about tier list, I just pick characters i like(I could make a guide of how I pick characters but whatever) yet I tend to inadvertently pick a "top tier" like bardock, I knew I was gonna play him the moment he was announced and I didn't have the game at the moment, yet without watching a tournament, gameplay or anything I still play him...right now I'm trying to learn arthriti- I mean naoto, but unfortunately I play on switch, so the controller sucks...I wish I had a ps4(or an arcade stick, maybe both though I'd have to actually learn how to play on an arcade stick) so I could actually learn him...
We are entitlted to stick with what we see as fun. Do you think winning the game is fun or just using your character you learning is fun. Thats what I believe anyway
Naoto doesn't actually have any 1 frame links. It's just a meme (an old one at that). All of those things are buffered, so you have plenty of time to do them.
Whichever controller you prefer is best for you. For me tapping 6 is easier with the Dpad. And to go further beyond from his excecution barrier is simply practice and try to find an optimal and simple combo you can use during netplay. Takes time but its worth it
